Good luck to the Lancers. Meigs will have their hands full with either Federal Hocking or Nelsonville-York. I believe that FH and NY are both teams who play much better than their records indicate.

Nelsonville-York ran away with this sectional semifinal match-up in the second half...the Buckeyes beat Federal hocking 58-41 to advance to its second straight sectional final game. Daniel Kline dropped 28 points, and the Buckeyes outscored the Lancers 34-21 in the second half. N-Y will play Meigs Saturday at 3p.m. at Athens HS for the Sectional Championship. This is the most well coached team at Nelsonville in 20 years. The coach sure does a great job getting the most out of his athletes. Me thinks the football coach could learn a lot from him. Maybe davey should attend a few practices and see what makes this program tick. Then he could transfer that onto the gridiron and maybe we coud get in the playoffs and win.............one.

I don't know about the most well coached, but I do think Coach Kline does a good job.I also think NY underachieved throughout this season. Last night you seen a NY team that was a lot more athletic than FH. You also seen a FH team that was active in the half court defense but unfortunately were lazy getting down the floor on defense or poor defensive fundamentals in stepping up and stopping the ball on fast breaks. I also realize that FH is a young team but much of Fed's offense movement came from the man with the ball while 4 others stood or almost walked while making a cut across the lane or to the next position that the play may of indicated.
Hopefully the FH program will get turned around soon.

^ Hindsight's 20-20.

This was a dissapointing end to a dissapointing season for FH. I honestly thought at the beginning of the year this team would be in the top half of the conference. They lost a lot of close games, and really were just not able to put four quarters of Basketball together to get wins. The bright side for this team is they return everyone with the exception of Rex. With teams like Eastern and Trimble graduating a lot of players this year I think FH will find themselves in the TVC Hocking title race in 2011-2012.
