Miami Trace never had an answer. Waverly was very effective when running the break and pounding it inside. You're right 3-15 from beyond the arc is not what the Tigers want, especially when you don't have to be letting em fly. Ward had a nice game scoring 11 points but did an even better job on defense. Waverly's tough schedule prepared them for the tournament and I think everyone now knows (if they didn't before) the Waverly Tigers are a pretty good basketball team. Enjoy this win tonight and start preparing tomorrow for Friday night.

Kind of looks like the SOC II might play some pretty good basketball.

I think Hillsboro is much better than Miami Trace so these Tigers will have to play very well to win.

I don't know if I'd go with much better, since they did split by the exact same margin, with MT winning the most recent game.
There is a reason I was hoping Unioto would somehow slip to the 6 seed and that's because the SCOL is very average. Hillsboro, I'm sure will play Waverly tougher than MT did, but it's still a very winable game for the Tigers.

The Tigers need to work hard with 2 intense days of practice in preparation of a very good Hillsboro Indian squad. Yes, they split with Miami Trace and the SCOL appears to be average but the Tigers CANNOT expect to just show up and cruise to the convo. I do think Waverly's brutal schedule has prepared them for the tourny but they have to play as well or even better than the did last night.
