1. Coal Grove (most complete)
2. South Point (lots of pitching)
3. Gallia (coaching, solid fundamentals)
4. Chesapeake (coaching, a lot of returning players)
5. Rock Hill (young, they'll be higher if they can hit)
6. Ironton (didn't look too good in a scrimmage the other night)
7. Portsmouth (hits well, no pitching or fielding)
8. Fairland (young coach, lost a lot from last year)
Ironton knocked off Coal Grove 8-7 Wednesday, nice win for the Fighting Tigers.

Minford is now 7-3 after a 4-3 loss to Oak Hill tonight. Impressed by the record with a roster of 4 seniors, 1 junior and the rest freshmen and sophmores. Very young team.

One you are familiar with is Sr. Matthew Gullett. He is 17 for 34 (.500) 4 doubles, a triple, 13 RBI's, 7 SB's, and has played some amazing defense at 2nd base with several diving plays on the year. Made several triples in basketball, but just one so far in baseball.

Meigs is 7-4 now with losses to Athens, Marietta, Parkersburg South and Waterford ( Combined 29-8-2)

And Meigs only has 4 returning Varsity starters 2 Seniors and 2 Juniors. They have lost 3 Seniors (Whitlach, Bartrum and Acree) to injuries and all 3 done for the year. They were #3, 4 and 5 hitters in the lineup.

We are starting 3 Freshmen and only 1-2 boys are playing in the same positions they played in previous years.

So overall, not too bad so far considering the circumstances.
