Irontons tourney run depends on who's playing. Strange to be saying this late in the season but it is what it is. Is the team that played against Huntington High taking the court or is the team that played against Manchester taking the court? Big difference. Anybody know if there are players still "sick" or is everyone healthy now ?

The Oaks have good size and play physical ball and will keep this one close. The big question is can the Oaks handle the Ironton guard play. The Oaks will have to keep thie game slow and hope they don't get into foul trouble. Good luck Oaks!

As I see it, Ironton has been an up-and-down team this season, no question. I have no insight regarding player illness; I assume that when the Tribune reports a player as being unable to play due to illness that indeed it's a fact and not an excuse for something else.

In any event, I think that this is a classic trap game for Ironton and I hate to see it played at the sectional level; but that's the hand that was dealt. I think Ironton needs to be at full strength going in, and needs to get out to an early significant lead; otherwise lack of depth may prove fatal.

If Oak Hill can hang early and control the tempo, they will be right in this game at the end. Norm will want this game in the 30's.*

Ironton is 4-6 against teams with a record over .500. I will take Oak Hill 56 Ironton 52
5 of those 6 losses: #2 Chesapeake twice, #10 Portsmouth, Huntington Prep, #1 Cin Taft.

LOL at what you are implying.

Ironton has THE TOUGHEST SCHEDULE IN SEO and it is not even close.

No doubt Ironton has played an extremely tough schedule and nobody with any basketball knowledge would dispute that. The 5 losses that you mentioned were by an average of 20 ppg. I was only implying that this would be a tough game. The Oaks will basically have the home court advantage with this game only being 10 miles away.

They lost by nearly 40-50 to one team so yes that average is going to look bad, but add these teams to anyone's schedule in SEO and they are almost all losses.

To be honest with you I don't think Oak Hill has played a team close to any of the teams mentioned above. No to mention Oak Hill lost to Minford and Fairland.

I think Ironton will blow Oak Hill out, but out of respect for Norm I picked a closer game.

I think it is pretty simple to see what you are implying though.

This game is simple, two very contrasting styles. Whoever is able to impose their will on the other wins.
