Wow....12 days off, then 10 days off, then possibly 2 games within 48 hours.

If your game starts at 8:00 P.M. or later on March 10th and is overwith around 10:00 - that's about 36 hours in between.

I think that would definitly alter your teams' plans ... If South Webster was to win March 10th, wouldn't you have to consider staying in a hotel? I don't think I would want my players on a bus for so long having to play two games in such a short period of time.

Athens to South Webster is only an hour drive time----maybe 15 minutes later by bus. The boys would be home by midnight on Thursday night-----go to school on Friday, practice and go over the game plan, and then hopefully ALL go home and rest. Saturday Morning I imagine the bus would leave around 8am and that isn't TOO bad.........

It is not the best scenario----but since it is the only scenario we have IF we win some games between now and then----We will take it.

I hope our coaching staff and team have this problem to negotiate! Go Jeeps!

I can honestly say I have never been to South Webster ... lol ... I for some reason believed it was near Portsmouth, which is more than an hour drive.

The MAC tournament is next week and OU plays Miami and depending on if OU wins or loses there could be a game played on our game date. The good scenario is OU wins.

Jeeps catch a break and get to play Monday, March 7th at 8:00 following the Eastern Reedsville vs Fairfield game. If they would have played Thursday it would have been 1 game in 20 days before playing 2 in 3 days. Hard to have any continuity that way. Now, we have a schedule that allows us to play last Wednesday and this Monday and (hopefully) Saturday. Much better!

Jeeps played poorly at the Convo last year vs Southern. We finally have a chance to better that! Let's go and put another one in the win column-----at least half of the people on the game thread are picking Eastern----lets quiet them down just like we did the people who picked Notre Dame to beat us last Wednesday!
