Re: Oak Hill vs Zane Trace, District Finals
Nice game by Zane Trace. Looks like a game 3 meeting between my Lady Falcons and the Lady Oaks, pending a Minford win in the next game.
Closest game with Oak Hill all season, hats off to the Lady Pioneers for their efforts in attempting to knock off the #1 and unfeated Oak Hill

Re: Oak Hill vs Zane Trace, District Finals
Great effort by both teams.
Zane Trace controlled the tempo and Oak Hill was cold from the three point line.
The Lady Pioneers defense was strong, but Oak Hill was able to isolate #11 down low in the second half.
I thought they did a solid job against the press even though ZT had 18 turnovers. A lot of those were in the half court.
ZT finishes the season 17-6.

Re: Oak Hill vs Zane Trace, District Finals
Days like today should make people realize how hard it is to actually make it to the Final Four. It never matters who the better team is in the tournament. You have to just be better than the team on that day. Zane Trace did a great job today and they fell short at the end. They played hard and could have pulled it out, but sometimes in the tournament you have to have a little luck on your side too.
For the people that I heard say Oak Hill has no chance of making it to the state tournament after the way they played today, SHAME ON YOU! You were the same people a couple of years ago that counted the boys out after they struggled with St. Joseph's and Fairfield before they went on to win the state championship! If you don't think that they can win the next couple of games then please do not show up.
Would like to give congrats to Taylor Hale. Not on her clutch 3 (which was awesome) but for her great leadership. After every timeout she was walking out on the court, rallying the troops, clapping her hands, and letting everyone know that we are OK and we can win this thing.
Breanna Butler came up huge in the post. Yes I said in the POST. haha I bet she never thought she would be playing down there much this year. She stepped it up today playing on an ankle that was hurting much more than she was letting on.
Kelsey Burton had a great second half, didn't score much but kept her cool after a physical first half and had some great offensive rebounds to just keep us in the game.

Re: Oak Hill vs Zane Trace, District Finals
BTW, congrats to the seniors for becoming the first Oak Hill team to make it to 4 straight regional appearances.
and if my numbers are correct, I believe this is the 10th regional appearance in 15 years.
Oak Hill trivia
When was the last time Oak Hill scored under 40 and still won?
