Piketon -vs- Alexander

Post by mikepike »

Don't know anything about Alexander. What type of team do they have? Who are the leaders of the team? What can the Streaks expect from them?

Personally, I don't like the Sunday games, but people with more power than I make the decisions. Will be listening to Larry, Rob, and Hayley on 100.1. GO STREAKS!!!

Not a fan of the Sunday games either....I will listen on the radio though. That has to cut into some serious gate and concession $$ though having the game then.

Been watching a lot of games. Alexander has a big man inside 6'8. He can intimidate but does not jump much. Other than that they like to half court trap but the streaks should be able to handle that pressure easily.

Piketon's pressure will be the difference. Alexander has one guard and the full court press will lead to a lot of Piketon's points.

Seems like every year we qualify for Athens we get the night shift game.

I feel Piketon will just be too much for the Spartans to handle. But I see the Streaks hitting a road block before long and getting knocked out.

I have seen both teams play i saw Alexander play a team that is no where near the talents of the Red Streaks and they lost by 30. So i say Piketon by almost 50. i know its tournament time but alexander just doesnt have much. The big kid for them is weak and has zero post moves and he doesnt use his athletic ability and he cant shoot. So i say play a 2 man game with Brush and Legg it will be all night b/c the guards wont be able to handle Legg and the big kid wont move his feet well enough to stop a pick and roll.

dime-a-dozen, You won't see a two man game with Legg and Brush. Brush is a defensive player. He scores sometimes on put backs and breaks, but he doesn't shoot very well and doesn't create very well. I don't think they did a good job of developing his offensive footwork and post moves, but that's just my opinion, he's the same player he was four years ago. Anyway, you will see Piketon score in transition and spread the floor and penetrate. Piketon by 20.
