Re: SEOAL Predictions for 2011
Portsmouth will have 3 starters returning in 2011-2012.......Wayne Evans, Dion McKinley, and Zaide Whitley.......but have to replace Andrew Bendolph and Tre Underwood.......possible candidates to fill those two slots include Seth Bratchett, Len Collins, Mason Jordan, Duke Edwards, L.J.Adams, or Jaylen Carter.
Chillicothe has Malik London and Zach Johnson returning, Jackson has Colt Chapman and Alec Ray back, Warren loses Grant Venham and Austin Cunningham but have several others back including a very good 2011 JV squad, and I believe that Gallia Academy and Logan lose quite a bit off their 2011 roster.
I think the Trojans can win the SEOAL next year, and can really be good if Coach Collins can find another good ballhandler........if he can find that player, PHS should have another very good year.......we are getting closer and closer with each year to winning the SEOAL title.

Re: SEOAL Predictions for 2011
Both Warren and Portsmouth have large solid junior classes returning next year....and of course Chilli has London back....Warren's JV was 19-1....should be the same three at the top next year.....
Re: SEOAL Predictions for 2011
i think there will be a whole new standings of records next year.....
1st - portsmouth 15-5 (Dion and Collins will make a great pair)
2nd- jackson 13-7 (all 5 starters back and a couple really will improve i think)
3rd- warren 13-7 (Great Jv kids, not enough experience yet)
4th- chillicothe 12-8 (Not enough scorers, dont have that go to kid)
5th- logan 7-13 (same as warren, losing everybody)
6th- Gallipolis 6-14 (losing everybody, jv not as good)

The best two freshman for GA are Brian Williams, and the Jarrell kid. I wasnt impressed with the Eastman kid. But GA will have a better team the what people think.

Warren Re: SEOAL Predictions for 2011
Warren now rotates 9 players and will graduate 3 of them...3-4 off j v will contribute next year ...Warriors will be strong again...how strong? Who knows?
Re: SEOAL Predictions for 2011
Jackson does return all 5 starters and one main bench player. They improved a good bit throughout the year. Chapman will be one of the leagues top players......good size, very good athletes...could be interesting. Every eyar Jackson knocks off someone they shouldn't....but next year it won't be nearly the upset if they beat one of the top teams in the league...or are one of them

Depends on who the coach is ? is moore back? Will it be gary harrison? Will it be todd miller? hard to change coaches every year and stay competitive.Rebels on 3 wrote:The best two freshman for GA are Brian Williams, and the Jarrell kid. IMHO we will struggle under any of these guys because we lost 1 4yr starter ethan moore, one 3 year big time contributor golden, Having only 2 or 3 kids back with varsity experience and no physical threat at all, amos plays outside too much.
eastman has to grow he really isn't ready to play varsity yet?
a year can make big differences, but if you have 80% of these kids who have very little basketball skills to begin with playing football and not touching a basketball until november, how much will we improve?
the basketball program is secondary at gallia academy always has been,it needs stability and a lot of work!

I believe the Top three in the league next year, all have games this weekend. The Trojans will be very good,Warren will reload, and Chilli will be a year older in the 'meat" dept.
