Not very impressed with chillicothe.they play out of control at times, and pretty weak under the basket at times. The big center trys to block every shot thats put up.The guy who is going to a d1 college seems to play timid at times.

if you're not impressed with chilly you must be really not impressed with warren since chilly has beaten them the last two times. Its easy to find a weakness with every team in ohio. Chillicothe has a few like every team and wins.larrbird33 wrote:Not very impressed with chillicothe.they play out of control at times, and pretty weak under the basket at times. The big center trys to block every shot thats put up.The guy who is going to a d1 college seems to play timid at times.

This game is going to be determinded not just friday at the convo, but this whole week in how the two teams prepare and desire to practice so come friday they can lay it all out on the floor. Hoping for another close game like last one, but maybe a different result for the WARRIOR NATION and advance to their first REGIONAL game ever. They have a better chance than ever, lets go WARRIORS....

The way I see it ending is in another last second shot! Just this time i see it comming from Warren to win the game. But to be surprised I can see A.C passing it off to his Big man Venham for an easy lay up when all 5 people try to stop A.C.. Best of Luck to Warren should be a great game!

larrbird33. Welcome to the finest forum board posting thread around. I see you are on post #8 and like your name you are coming up short. You forgot the "y" and you forgot Chilly has won 20 games. I love how you come on here and pick on individuals. By the way, that kid London who try's to block every shot is pretty successful at it. He gets 5 plus per game and alters many others. You should have been in the voting room and convinced the coaches how he should not be all-league and most likely 2nd team all-district.larrbird33 wrote:Chillicothe mite beat warren i say mite beat warren. If chillicothe does beat warren dont see them beating zansville.
Also the timid kid is POY in the league and will be 1st team all district. And in his timid ways scored 15 straight points against Warren at their place and then timidly took the last second shot on the road in arguable one of the toughest venues around in Warren to clinch the league title. By not shooting a layup to tie it, he timidly hit a 25' 3 boom with hands in his face to win the game. And yes his name would be Jalen Ragland.
In all seriousness don't call out kids. Call out coaches, call out teams, but don't call out these young men. Not one of them is timid or they wouldn't be out there.
Re: District Championship Warren vs. Chillicothe 3/11/11
Sounds like someone doesn't know the difference between patient and timid. Jalen's patience has come a long way in this season alone and that patience is the reason his shooting percentage and efficiency overall have gone up in the last month or so. He's letting the game come to him as long as the rest of the guys are putting the ball in the basket.

Re: District Championship Warren vs. Chillicothe 3/11/11
Warren can play with Chilli and could very well walk away with a victory. If Chilli comes out and plays defense like they did last week though it will be very tough. I think obviously Cunningham should get his and I really like the inside game of Venham. I think he has a good mix of physical and fundamental to score inside over, or under Chilli at times. I don't see anyone else getting much going however. Warren is a two man team and depends on Cunningham to do a lot. The thing with this matchup is that Chilli can afford ANY 1 player having a bad game and overcome it. If Cunningham has a bad game(for his standards), Warren is done. If Venham has a bad game, they will be in at a major disadvantage.
With that said, IF Chilli is able to shut down Cunningham, they win going away. If Cunningham is able to handle the ball, set up the offense, and create his own shot while also getting Venham et al., some good looks then this should be a barnburner. Hastie for Warren is a possible X-factor as he is capable of knocking down shots if he is left open. He wont be able to create his own on Chilli's D though, so that is quite dependent upon Cunningham. I look for Isaac Beverly to be an X-factor for Chilli. I would venture to guess that he will guard Cunningham a large portion of the game and also could guard Venham in certain lineups. If he does a good job on defense and hits his open shots for 6-8 points, that will bode extremely well for the Cavs.

EVERYBODY for Warren has to play well Friday. The BENCH for the Warriors will as always be the key. Knost, Winland, Ward, Henthorn, I think make the Warriors strong across the board. Chilli played the best game I have seen last Friday. They will come to play for sure. Have the Mo in their favor with two win against the Warriors. Both teams play great pressure defense and are well coached. Emotions and desire are big factors in this one. With that I am going with the Warriors in this one. Last years Logan Elm game and being at the Convo again makes them HUNGRY!!!! They want this one BAD!!!! Good luck to both SEOAL teams. LETS GET IT ON!!
GO TEAM WARREN WARRIORS!!!!!!

I also disagree that Warren is only a two man team, even though their best two players must have big games to beat Chillicothe, they like the Cavs have a good supporting cast.I also believe that the Cavs go as far as London, thats right London takes them,no doubt that Ragland is their top scorer and player of the year (well deserved)if Malik gets in foul trouble the Cavs will be in big big trouble,Cunningham can only be contained not stopped, will be a close game, cant give a prediction on this one, good luck to both.

Re: District Championship Warren vs. Chillicothe 3/11/11
I like how the few postings on the game are real civil. Shows the respect both teams faithful followers have. These two teams know each other very well. Other than a few wrinkles thrown in, there will be no surprises. I remember Venham and company being young guys just a few years ago. An administrator from Warren told me this group of kids could be special. That has been proven correct.
Chilly continues to build on the winning tradition that was established way back in a day and then lost for a while. Coach Kellogh and these Cavaliers keep winning 17 plus games per year. With three district titles in a 5 year span, they are attempting to make Chilly history as I don't recall 4 in a 6 year span.
In summary a very good team is going to cut the nets down on Friday night. And the southeast District despite getting only one team in the regionals will be represented well. Warren is not a two man team, but do have two kids who can do a lot of damage. They
Iike Chilly play great D. This game will therefore come down to who can make shots. Both from the field and free throw line.
