Wow, that is truly sad. Being from one of the other few schools in the Southeast that have African Americans, I can tell you we have heard it before too. No excuses for that kind of behavior.

John Glenn played a great game tonight as expected. Respectful team with very classy fans.

Its hard to believe that anything was said like what was posted above. are you sure it was from athe John Glenn fans and not from someone from an earlier game. All of the Muskie fans I have ever met, and there is A LOT of them would never be rude to fans from somewhere else. Unless they were "possibly" provoked into saying something.

Anyways that is not what this thread is about... and all that really needs to be said is...

He congratulated John Glenn on the win, then brought up that ridiculous comment. It's uncalled for at any time, even if it's provoked. I guarentee it wasn't provoked, but if it was, be a bigger person and don't say anything like that. That's embarrassing that you would try and blow that off. And sorry, while I consider myself a good person(like you say your friends are) I would NEVER say something like that even if provoked. That's like saying it's okay to stab someone if they provoked you.

As i told trojandave before the game, if Chilli gets anything less than Raglands best they will lose from here on out. Tonight he had the coldest (and he's had some pretty cold games) game that i've ever seen him have. He missed countless wide open jumper after wide open jumper and JG's zone defense stopped his dribble penetration completely. Without him hitting shots, Chilli simply struggles to score in the half court. John Glenn controlled the pace, played some very physical and effective defense and completely took Chilli out of their game. Hats off to them. Heagan is a very nice player and he was the best player on the court tonight.

Malik picking up the two early fouls really hurt as even though he played a little in the second quarter he was afraid to contest any shot or even box out in fear of another foul. JG really blew the lead up after his second foul.

As far as the water jug incident, there was no table slap that caused this...the water jug was thrown to the ground and it spilled all over the court causing quite a delay for cleanup. The player who did this has never in his career showed one ounce of an attitude so i'm not going to read more into it than a good kid losing his composure once. I'm sure he regrets it as it is not an accurate reflection on his character at all.

Chillicothe really showed alot of heart in the second half battling back like they did. It would have been easy for the kids to pack it in or become discouraged and give up, but they fought claw, tooth, and nail to get back in that game. They just had too little too late. But they definitely gave it everything they had. they just had a terrible night by their standards (much credit to JG for this as i'm sure they had plenty to do with it), and you can't have those nights when its win or go home.

Honestly, at the time the Technical looked really bad for the team but it got them fired up for a nice little run to cut into the lead .Heagan was the best player on the court(like I said he would be) & put up 30 on the Cavs including the best high school dunk I have ever seen. Cavs got it close by pressing and John Glenn for the life of them couldn't break it. Cavs should've been pressing all night. The lead was never in doubt for the Muskies though, they always countered with a run of their own. Heagan should've had 35+ if he would've been making his foul shots.

Also, I don't know if what was said to BVMV was true or not but I find it very hard to believe that it came from a John Glenn fan. John Glenn is one of, if not the most mannered school in the MVL. Not to mention they have had very, very good black players go through their system.

I'll agree with you on most counts, but i have to give the dunk nod to Malik...Heagan's dunk was nice, but a 3/4 court alley oop that you bring down to your waist and reverse??? That's tough to beat.
