I agree, his dunk was freakin' awesome for sure! But you know Heagan was itching to do that all night. He had been trying to get a foul called on him when he kept taking it in for lay-ups and finally he just threw it down over 6'8 Malik. Posterized. :12224

One of those in one game would have been enough but both in the same game, awesome!

haha, it would have been better if Malik didn't already have 4 fouls and fully contested, he kind of jumped sideways out of the way and just let Heagan go right by for the jam but Heagan was taking it strong either way...I agree those were 2 of the best dunks you could ask for in the same game

Philos_Finest wrote:Also, I don't know if what was said to BVMV was true or not but I find it very hard to believe that it came from a John Glenn fan. John Glenn is one of, if not the most mannered school in the MVL. Not to mention they have had very, very good black players go through their system.
Look fellas i knew posting that would stir up the pot a little but if u dont believe me ask my kids who were walking with me...yes it was a big silver truck with people wearing Maroon tshirts......what color John Glenn wear? I get along with everyone i come across and to hear that with my family beside me ticked off beyond belief....i want to apologize to the posters and moderators who are on this site for my post but i also am not going to stand for ignorant people who thinks its cool to throw that word around....ignorance comes in ALL COLORS! Enough about it though,im still biting my lip as i type! John Glenn took my Cavs out but not without a fight....BTW i think the reverse alley-oop was the best dunk ive seen in high school....continued good luck to the Muskies! I WILL ALWAYS BLEED BLUE &WHITE....GO CAVS!

Congrats to Chillicothe on a good season. Should be a dandy with John Glenn and Hartley, but having seen Hartley at the Schott, I'll go with Hartley to get back there.

As for the comment to the Chillicothe fan, that's completely ridiculous.

Sorry Bronc..I watched the played swat the water mug of Coach Knight off of the table and 25 feet across the floor. It was done with intent after that player was removed from the game. Coaches knew that, thats why he sat the rest of the game. This player was also removed from a game and a half in football for cursing and throwing his helmet on the sideline. As for the game. Ragland was cold, New Concord played hard, Haegan was by far, the best player on the floor . Too many missed shots, turnovers, and not enough rebounds ( 45 to 30 JG ) doomed the Cavs. IF Hartley has a press then JG could be in trouble. Haegan beat the press just often enough to keep JG ahead. Cavs forced enough turnovers to make a run but just wasnt enough. Good luck Muskies.

This game turned out much the way I feel the DIII game between Chessy and Portsmouth will be. (the most athletic, yet undisciplined team not getting it done when it faces a good fundamental team in all areas, JMO). Congrats to Chilly on a fine year.

Cavs we are so proud of your season. We have had so much fun and we know this was a heart break. Sweet sixteen is a place alot of teams would like to be in this time of year.

You have been a class act with alot of passion all year. Smacking the jug of water is not being rude to a ref, player or coach. He is a kid that plays with all heart. This kid is never in trouble at school, work or any other place. He already apologized on facebook to the community and school. I just wish he would have been able to play the rest of the game.

Stupid people in a pick up truck doesnt set the tone for the rest of the Muskies. I'm sorry your kids had to hear that word. Tell them to be proud and stand strong. There are idiots everywhere.

Seniors you are the best. Jalen, Max, Milo, Issac & Tyler your the best. We have great memories to last a lifetime. You showed up each week for years and practiced and played hard. These are memories and friendships will last a lifetime. We wish all you the best in you future plans.

Thanks to the Blue Crew.

Sorry to see this happen for the Cavs. Good Luck to the Muskies. Great season for them, hope it continues.
As to the incident after the game. Shame, that some people have to show their ignorance toward anyone with such a comment, it brings   on society.

Congrats to Jake and the rest of the muskies and good luck Saturday. Wish OU would have offered Jake a scholarship, def good enough to play for them. He will do well at Findlay though.

I was there hoping for a Cavaliers victory, but CHS struggled at the offensive end and just couldn't put the ball in the basket enough........the press was really effective, but even then Chillicothe missed some opportunities created by the pressure.

Still, a great season by the SEOAL champions........4 regional appearances in 5 years with a state championship gives CHS the best record in the SE District over that time.

John Glenn has a nice team, but if Hartley decides to press, the Muskies have got to do a better job against it.........JG's Jake Heagen is a really nice player.

bvmv4life: Sorry about what happened to you........it is disgusting that in today's America we still hear words like that........but you were a BETTER person because you didn't retaliate......I know it was probably hard not to, though..........I can say from talking to you quite a bit over the last couple of years that you're one of my favorite people on SEOPS and a genuinely good person.

Thanks trojandave, thank god my family was with me i wouldve probably done something i wouldve regretted and im a person who doesnt do things like that....you have always rooted for the Cavs(unless they are playing the Trojans) and i respect that fully! Even though the Trojans have a task at hand playing the Peake i will be rooting for Portsmouth to represent the SEOAL in the State finals...cant get down there on Saturday, but if you guys win i will be looking for you at the Schott! The Cavs will be fine they will reload as the talent pool is very deep....plus we have another London coming probably could be the best one out of that clan! Continued good luck to the Muskies......GO CAVS...!!!!!!!!!

Let's not get carried away here. Have you seen Ohio University play, Ohio's backcourt is loaded, not to mention that there ARE NO SCHOLARSHIPS for Ohio to give? Not to mention that there are over 300+ DI schools in the nation and not one of them offered. This is not to bash the player in any way, he is a great high school basketball player and Findlay is a top flight DII basketball school, but there is a world of difference between DI and DII.

According to some people within the JG program he did get some D1 offers, just not close enough to home or what he was looking for. As for D2 being a world of difference in comparison to D1, for the most part I would agree but didn't Findlay beat Ohio State in a pre-season game a few years ago? I've seen Chaminade (D2 out of Hawaii) win some games in Maui classic over the past decade against top knotch D1 competition. Syracuse lost to a D2 school last season early as well. Flip Murray plays in the NBA, he played D2. I believe Dennis Rodman played D2 and Scottie Pippen played at Central Arkansas. Just saying. And as for OU and their backcourt being loaded....is that why they couldn't win the MAC this year? He is every bit as good as Nick Kellogg and he is on scholarship at OU if I'm not mistaken?

Heagan could play at a small D1 school. I can understand OU not offering with the players they have this year and coming in next year(Stevie Taylor, Nick Kellogg, etc.) but in general I believe he has the talent to play at that level. Currently I go to school in the Dayton area and just based on general knowledge of the universities/teams close to me(Wright State in particular) I think a 6'4"/6'5" two gaurd with Heagan's skill set would be a welcomed addition. AAU plays a massive role in determining the amount of exposure a player gets to D1 coaches.....especially in our area. Blake Justice(AAU team CBIZ-Akron Commit), Jalen Ragland(AAU team Queen City Prophets-UTEP Commit), Jake Kretzer(AAU team All-Ohio Red-Undecided with multiple offers), and Malik London(All-Ohio Red-Undecided) all played with and against excellent teams over the summer at largely promoted events and it paid dividends. Anyone know who Heagan played for over the summer, if anyone? Plus it was stated on an earlier post that he did recieve some interest from D1 programs....maybe he just felt like Findlay would be a better fit (playing time, size of school, academic program, etc.).

Ben Wallace played for a D2 school as well.

Never said great players don't come out of those levels, but on a team by team basis there is a big difference. I think the young man could have a very solid career at Findlay and I hope he has three games left to his senior season.

Any of you that think D2 is as good as D1 need to get a clue. I have seen some players that could play D1 at D2 schools but to say D2 schools can compete with D1 schools, well keep drinking the cool-aid. And don't give me a well 15 years ago or pre-season or scrimmage or, or or. Stupid comment period.

From a Cavs fan Heagan could play at any MAC school. Lets not fool ourselves and think the MAC is good basketball. There is a reason they only get one in the tourney every year, and that by automatic qualifying. 6'5'' who can do a little bit of everything? Sure, he could make it at any MAC school. As far as playing a lot and making a difference? Who knows, but is just as good as that competition in the MAC.
