Re: Harvest Prep being investigated for possible violations.
I think midnight's comments were taken a little out of context. I read it as midnight conveying that outside of the third party investigators, it's difficult to truly know the exact findings of "Prepgate" until something formal is handed down from OHSAA. I don't believe it was midnight attacking the credibility of anyone posting in this thread. As for me, I hope that justice is served. Either HPS Athletics is found guilty and sanctioned accordingly, or they are vindicated and we can move on and talk about what we are all so very passionate about, high school sports competition and the exciting few weeks leading to the state tournament.

keyser: how soon? If they have something to go on, they better go quick because the season is over in 12 days. And it's not going to help Bucyrus Wynford and the winner out of Manchester/South Webster, and whoever they meet at State (should they make it there) if they don't do something quick. I guarantee nothing is done until after the season ala Africentric in 2005. And by then, who honestly gives a darn?*

If you really want to kick up a hornets nest...disqualify them mid postseason. Then all the teams they beat will be beating down the OHSAA doors for there chance to advance. It is better just to do what they did in 05, let them play and then if found guilty make them retroactively ineligible and send the trophys to the sectional, district, regional and state runners up. Or in the case of 05 DIV just vacate the year bc both teams are ineligible. Do you replay the sectional and district if infractions are found now???...truth is it would have accepted the whole seeding and tourney matchups.

guru: it's been done before...if I remember right, Cincinnati Colerain was found to have played an ineligible player in the state football semis and forfeited the win. The team Colerain beat in the state semis came back the next week and played for the state championship (and got smoked again). Yeah, it sucks for the teams they had beat prior, but at least one of those teams was helped by the decision and got a chance to play for a championship on the field.*

North College Hill:.......didn't they get investigated over OJ Mayo? Anyone know what ever came of that? I remember there being talk of them maybe having to vacate their State Title the year Ironton played them in the D3 State Title game. I never heard anymore about it.
Was it swept under the rug?

Must be quite a talent pool around the Canal Winchester area. The girls are at the State, and the boys are in the Regionals.

In a 3 mile radius around Harvest Prep you have (Groveport, Canal Winchester, Reynoldsburg, Pickerington and Bloom-Carroll district's schools and Independence, Walnut Ridge and Marion-Franklin which are Columbus City Schools). On the girls side, 3 of the starters transferred from Grove City last year when they cut out sports after the levy failed and just stayed. It's easy to pick talent when you've got this many school districts so close and some of the kids come from schools other than the one's listed above. Go figure !!!!!Eagle82 wrote:Must be quite a talent pool around the Canal Winchester area. The girls are at the State, and the boys are in the Regionals.

Same ole same ole. Private schools should have there own divisions. But in reality its the same as webster or oakhills recent titles. Take away the transfer and bye bye title
