Can Southern go for the three-peat and sweep the Eagles for a return trip to the Finals?

With a Meigs County TVC Hocking team guaranted in the finals will the wall be broken to finally make a trip to the State?

King James, you are so right as Eastern feels very fortunate to be in this game. However they are in & they know they can play much better than they have & this is EASTERN-SOUTHERN. Anything is possible in this game & Eastern has nothing to lose as Southern is the overwhelming favorite.

The chances are 50/50 now but No, the reason they match both South winners together in the semi's nowadays is so they can get one of the two in the finals because in the past, neither one had much of a chance playing either a Central Ohio or Eastern Ohio district winner in the regional semi's and getting beat. At least this way they are guaranteed a 50/50 chance when one does make the regional finals they only have to play one of the other two teams (Central, East) that beat each other to reach the title game. One day it will happen, just not this year.

I gotta take southern In this game. They are a very well coached team that returns a lot of talent from a good team last year.

You say nowadays. This is the first year its been this way. Last year southern had to beat the east team (T.C.C) #2 ranked team in the state that had just beat the #1 ranked team the game before.
Good luck to both teams, show good sportsmanship and represent your league well.

It'll remain this way until one year when the SE will bust thru but this year was no different than the others: Newark Catholic 7 - Southern 0 (Tusky Catholic played them and it was a 1 run game in the semi's so even if they played it as in previous years, neither SEO team would have advanced past the semi's).
