I meant to say early in the second half. PHS missed a couple easy buckets down low and great rebounding by burg led to one and done possesions. Had PHS made easy baskets down low and extended the lead I just think Burg wouldn't have went on such a big run and their confidence wouldn't have been there. but who knows it's over now.KVDW wrote:Are you kidding?? Wheelersburg shot 28% for the game while Portsmouth shot 41%. Had Wheelersburg shot even a poor 35% they would have won the game. The 'Burg's 3 for 22 in the 1st half is where the 10 point lead came from..... and the game.trojan7 wrote: I believe had PHS hit shots in in 2nd half and extended 10 point lead the game could've gone different but credit the Pirates for hitting big shots and cutting into the lead during the Trojans cold spell.
Burg outscored them 15-6 in the 3rd quarter. I just thought PHS could have put Burg away early in the 2nd half but Burg rebounded and went on a huge run.
