Consolidation would be the only way I could see the SVC changing. If smaller schools begin to consolitdate, it will allow other larger schools to join. What most dont understand is that a school must have football to join.

Would Unioto be a better fit in league with Greenfield and Hillsboro since it is growing so much and other SVC school districts seem to be shrinking? If Unioto grows much more it'll be 2X size of smaller SVC schools. Don't get The Chef wrong don't want to see Shermans leave but at some point would it make sense? The Chef remembers reading article in Gazette citing expected significant Unioto enrollment increase in next few years. Heck here in The Village of Piketon we got a Los Primos and Subway coming. Heard also McDonalds is coming. If APlant gets the $$$, Piketon could grow.
Bet it would be tough sell to get Waverly into SVC because of their size and some of the districts losing enrollment. People just aren't living in rural areas as much due to gas prices and driving longer distances to their work which is mostly in and around the larger populations. Here at Piketon we play Waverly in every sport anyway. However The Chef couldn't imagine playing Waverly 2X in a year in basketball. The games the last several years have been crazy good. Would be a way to get Waverly to come to Piketon to The Oven.
Getting a total vote from all schools would probably be tough for anyone to get in unless a school leaves. 8 teams as stated works good.

Maybe Madison Plains will leave and they will ask Unioto to replace them.

The SVC without the U would be like the United Nations without the U.S.A.

I know the U dominates the SVC in Cross Country, Girls basketball, Golf, Girls soccer and Track. But in the other sports the league seems to be very well balanced with the exception of the Adena Volleyball program.
The only school I could imagine ever leaving is Westfall. That would be one spot with several suitors VC, Amanda, Waverly, McClain, Hillsboro ect……..
I see no reason for the current members of this league to want a change however I can see why others would want in.

Eagels73-
“Ross Unioto” I would struggle with the “Ross” part but hey I didn’t want the “Union” part in our name to begin with, compromise its part of life.
