It is pretty cool to have support from all the other schools fans. But we would do the same for them and it should be that way. The boys are playing for Portsmouth Scioto County and Southern Ohio alot of presure but feels great to have people behind em.

TrojanDave: You're right that Portsmouth will have a lot more fans than the bigger city teams. Portsmouth will have more than CCC, Africentric, and Taft combined. When The Chef's Redrtreaks played CCC in 09, the CCC following was dwarfed by the Redstreak Nation in attendance. More than 1/4 of the Schott was filled with Redstreak Nation while the CCC faithful was just a small grouping. The Chef couldn't believe it because thought playing a Cleveland team meant lots of people but it was quite the opposite. A long time attendee of state tournaments told me the big city schools didn't do well with attendance because most of the people for these schools don't even know each other or the players. Then its magnified with the private schools who have significant student/athlete turnover from year to year. Heck half the Redstreak Nation crowd was all related (exaggeration but you get the point probably) Made sense after it was explained.

The big kid Grady was the difference maker when we played them but CCC had a guard who killed us also. He hit several 3s early in the game. Don't remember his name but believe he was a junior then which means he would have graduated last year.

Good Luck to The Trojans!! The starting 5 where in the elementary building today, it was great to see all our kids treating them like Rock Starts!! I showed the boys my classroom door that has pictures of the other state Championship players and teams on it! I told them there was a place for them to be added after the weekend! They loved seeing those old pictures! We all had a good laugh at Lice and that Froe!!! Lol

The Trojans need to play their game, take care of the basketball, good defense and make their FOUL SHOTS. The basics for any team to WIN. You are great fans of a very good team and deserve this. you can see it all over town,,the signs in the windows and on the food chain bill boards...the Town has really treated the team very nice,,they have been eating at the finest eating places in town every day all week long..."at the Ribber' again today .

there will be a pep rally at the xchool at 6 30,,they will be selling Final 4 Trojan shirts....and then there will be a live ramote on 99.3 at 8 am to send the kids off from the School.
