If you go on cavfootball.com there's a video just put up where the coldwater coach talks about the Burg game. He compares the Burg offense to CHCA... not sure if that's a compliment or not.

Well seeing that Coldwater beat CHCA 44-14, he saying he's seen it before, handled it, and isn't worried about it. He was respectful in saying ,W'burg's defense uses smaller quick guys that fly to the ball, much like his at Coldwater.

He didn't mean any slight whatsoever. He's talking about Berg's offensive scheme. That it is similar to CHCA. That's not an insult. CHCA was averaging 45 points a game coming in. Their O-line averaged 250-260 with a D1 prospect (Prince Sammons) at tackle(he also played DE) and a D1 transfer RB (Keasen Gamble). They were actually only the 2nd team at that time to score on CW in the 1st half. Marion and Brookville are the others with 1 score a piece.

I had to watch that a few times to really see what was said. Coach didn't sound impressed or excited. I did notice they were practicing onside kicks. Lol. But other than that the kids seemed to have a lot of respect for our program.

CHCA offense is good, however their defense was horrendous. Burg has a defense and also will run power. I think that's how they attack coldwater by keeping their quick defense from angles. I'm sure the coaches will put the kids in the best position to win.

His viewpoint is that of a coach; not a fan. He's referring schematically that what Berg does is similar to CHCA... He even points out what I have read here; that Berg runs the spread but likes to run out of that more than pass... just like CHCA. Doesn't mean they cant pass but hes saying Berg's preference is to run and that was CHCA as well. He noted the size of the line; says that will be the key match up against a smaller, faster and athletic front... and how imperative it will be for CW to get off the blocks. I agree... the line either allows your skill players to play their game or they don't. You are only as good as your weakest link... A good coach will try to mask or cover those spots... A good opposing coach will find ways to exploit them... Back to the matter, in no way is Coach disrespecting Berg here.

Horrendous is a pretty strong word although I would agree that their defense wasn't the strength of their team and CW was able to put them @behind@ in the first half.

Great site and some nice videos. The thing I don't like about highlight videos like this though is they only show what CW did the best. Watching the Marion Local game you would have thought CW won 35-0 the way the video plays out. They showed nothing of what ML did to move the ball and score twice before losing on a FG in the end.

Also, did anyone else hear the announcer at the end of the Brookville video say they were representing the trophy to CW for winning the 2012 Regional Championship? lol
