What have you seen in the games you have attended make you think that?

It's my opinion based on what I've seen and also knowing Chris. They should have went with Chris when they were able to go outside the district employees to make the hire. Chris has been involved with the program for several years and would have done a good job. Too much stock was put into reaching toward Burg for a coach. Nothing against Hopper, I'm sure he is doing the best he can.

The Burg should stay out of KY.

If memory serves correct, GC has owned Burg the past 3-4 years.

GC is on a different level in this area baseball wise.

Wheelersburg remaining regular season schedule...

Today Home vs. Oak Hill
Tuesday Home vs. South Webster
Wednesday Away at Minford
Thursday Away at Valley
Friday Home vs. Minford
Saturday Home vs. Jackson

Next week, Burg plays at Portsmouth and Greenup County. I don't see the makeup date yet for the game at Waverly.

Sorry I have not updated standings. Been quite busy lately, and unable to update. Will try to update everything since last Monday.

In other Minford news, Minford dealt a major blow with an injury. Matthew Gullett likely out the rest of the regular season with a hamstring injury. Shame since he was having such a great season both at bat and in the field. Hitting .488 (20-41) with 5 2B, 2 3B, 9 SB, and 17 RBI in 12 games. He also made many great plays in the field, and made 3 or 4 great plays to help save McCaleb's no hitter. Hope he is able to make it back for the tournament. Played through pain for last 6-7 games. Would love to see what he would have done at full strength.
