Clay over Eastern 9-0

Clay's bats started off really slow for the first 3 or 4 innings. They couldn't get the hits with runners on and then exploded with some rockets around the fifth. Jordan Jenkins had a great game at the plate. I think she was 4 for 4 and hit a rope off the top of the left field fence. Lyndsey Mader was solid on the mound for Clay.

SP 13 Peake 12 8 or nine innings lost count and no scoreboard.
SP was down 9-0 and came back slowly but surely to tie it in the 6th. There were probably more errors for SP than they had hits.I'm thinking about adozen errors~ Peake hit the ball well but had too many walks plus SP can really bunt not only to move runners up but for hits as well.

U PLAY THE GAME AND/OR COACH AND TELL A KID TO GET OUT ON PURPOSE AND SEE THE LOOK U GET. SOMETIMES IT IS RIGHT I AGREE BUT THEY ARE NOT PROS

We had a game that could have been like that tonight, but our coach played all 17 girls at least two innings, one girl DID bat left handed, and our base runners refused to advance unless in a force situation. We still scored 19 runs in 5 innings.

IMO you NEVER tell a girl to strike out on purpose!!! The back ups work just as hard as the starters with not as many opportunities to get plate appearances. You may stop bunting or stealing or taking extra bases, but never ask a girl to make an out on purpose. It has nothing to do with the score or "running it up."
