Looking forward to hosting the Vikings week 2 at the Village this upcoming season. Piketon returns several key components but must replace a QB and WR that racked up a bunch of yards. TB, WR, TE and several O-linemen returning for Piketon.

I think the vikings will do pretty good this year. A few very fast and big players will lead the way but it will be a team effort. I think that the team will work better as a team than they have the last few years.
One name you'll hear a lot will be Boswell. BIG AND FAST!

Hope VC gets it going, it is strange to see them struggle. Good Luck this year.

Good luck to the Vikings sqad this year. I think we are headed in the right direction and have a great Coach. Just support him and the team and evcerything else will take care of itself. They have great facilities and is a matter of time when they are back to where they were in the early nineties and early 2000's. The teams over the years have worked hard and tried to the best of their abilities, but to many distractions did more harm than good. Those days are over and it is on to bigger and better things.

I think people will be surprised by VC this year. This should be a big turn around season for the Vikings. Seven or Eight wins is not out of the question for this team.

If you are talking about the Boswell kid I know, you are right.
Josh was born to play football, he likes things rough and tough.

Improvement comes in many ways and does not always translate to wins, while I believe that VC will be improved but that doesn't mean they will win 8 or 9 games. I hate to be the doubter on here but I think that 4 or 5 wins is far more realalistic.

The biggest turnaround in consecutive years was +4 games. VC went 2-8 in 02 and 6-4 in 03. While I don't expect to see 6 wins this year, I do believe 4 or possibly 5 wins are within reach. One thing is for certain, the Vikings will be vastly improved.

Hearing from a very good source that there may be some bad breaks for the vikings regarding eligibility. I HOPE it isn't as bad as the source said it could be. I really looked for the vikes to have a better season but not so sure now.
Hoping for the best for you guys.

Not a very impressive showing in Coal Grove last night. Offensive plays, especially anything to the outside, took forever to develop. The lines look like they could be decent though. Good luck.

I don't expect very many "W"'s in Viking land this year, but some offensive improvement during the Southeastern scrimmage sat 08/13 could be seen.
I do not expect very many wins from the Panthersthis year either. These two should've played during the season so one of them could have had a chance to get one win! I have but one question about this years Viking scedule; How good or bad is Waverly?

I stayed for an hour and a half and Vinton County didn't score once. Coal Grove had 4 or 5 TDs.
