Thanks everyone for your well wishes and support. The boys and parents had a great time and it was great to finally win. The boys on the team were...

Trevor White, Trey Fletcher, Zac Carter, and Dion Brown from Ironton
Jensen Dyer from South Webster
Austin Mcbee from Minford
Nate Demoss, Shaquan Miller, and Wesley Moltrey from Huntington High
Elijah King from Huntington High was also on the team but had knee surgery and was unable to play.

This is a great group of boys and they had two great coaches in Hoppy and Joe.

Don't know the tournament name but Elite Basketball Purple won the championship this weekend in Indiana. Team members included
Blake Yates - Valley
Dion McKinley - Portsmouth
Wayne Evans - Portsmouth
Len Collins - Portsmouth

I'll see if I can get more info but congrats to another team with local talent.

As far as I know right now All Ohio Red(Jake kretzer) is in first place in their pool with a record of 2-0. They played early this morning but I don't have the results yet. I watched them yesterday and was very impressed, they could be playing for the title eventually. The Cincinnati Royals Select(Jake Daniels, Jordan Payne, Travis Combs, Jordan Mitchell, etc.) won their pool also going 2-1. I believe both teams start the tourney this evening at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex.

Both All-Ohio Red and the Cincinnati Royals Select were eliminated from the tournament. AOR was beaten by the Atlanta Xpress by 9 and the Royals were beaten by the Atlanta/Columbus Knicks by 13. Both Atlanta teams were loaded with future D1 players.

You are correct B-dawg, I don't know how I posted the 2010 link.
Here is the 2011 bracket All Ohio Red was in. The bracket just says All Ohio.

The previous link is ok, just click on 2011. Pool play is not there however.

These are not high schoolers, but just thought I'd post it anyway. Derick Jones (Vinton County) and Dylan Duplar (Sheridan) played on the Capital City Cardinals 6th grade squad out of Columbus that just got back from aau nationals in Hampton, Va. and placed 5th out of 68 teams. They are going into 7th grade now and will definately be two players in our area to watch in the future.
