Re: Post (4-27) scores or postponements
it is almost to the point where games are going to have to be played on some sloppy fields just to get in the league games dont get me wrong im not saying play with water standing on them but you cant wait for the fields to be in great shape.some of the games could probably be moved to the away teams field or to another field close by, time is definitly running out.

I find it amazing that a lot of teams won't cancel non league games to play league games and I know its prom season but at least for boys couldn't they play a game or double header starting at 9 a.m. how long does it take them to do their hair?

Zane Trace leads at Westfall 9-5. The game was suspended starting the bottom of the fifth. The field got real bad in the bottom of the fourth.
They will finish the suspended game on Tuesday May 3 and then play against each other in a non-league game afterwards.

Gallipolis 5 Chillicothe 1
Umpires suspended play in bottom of second inning. GAHS had a 5-1 lead, no outs and the bases loaded with Jimmy Clagg coming to the plate.
Chillicothe got there a few minutes late (they got lost) and after the game started, a strong wind and rainstorm smashed hrough Centenary.
Coaches and others worked nearly a half-hour getting the field in playing condition before the game was resumed.
However, it started raining again in the bottom of the second and that's when the umpires called the game.
Don't know if it will be rescheduled. The Cavs still have six games left on their 2011 league schedule with less than two weeks to play prior to the post-season tournament.
CHS is 2-10 overall and 1-5 in SEOAL play (excluding an 8-7 lead over Marietta at home when the game was suspended earlier this month and the Cavs needed one out to win that game).
Gallipolis is 12-2 overall (excluding a 4-4 tie with Meigs in a 10-inning game). The Blue Devils are 9-0 in SEOAL play.
Weather permitting, GAHS may play a non-league game at Alexander in Albany on Thursday evening.
