they should be competitive this winter, not much size or depth though. soph wiechman is outstanding, they carpenter boy will be a player as he has really improved. frosh class is talented, has size an skill, six maybe seven solid kids there an a similar class coming right behind them. i they put in the time they will be tough in a few yrs

This should be a good league but with Coach Liedtke at the helm they have to be the favorite. FF has won the league in 98-99,99-00,00-1,02-03,03-04,05-06,06-07,07-08,08-09,2010-2011.

Anymore news? Any camps, scrimmages, summer leagues, etc going on?
Re: Pioneer Valley Offseason BUZZ
Most camps and scrimmages are over since fall sports are underway.

Most teams try and wrap up in the month of June since the majority of kids play football or run cross. You also get a limited number of contact days with the kids as well. The PVC should be very competitive this winter.
Re: Pioneer Valley Offseason BUZZ
I know they have the Price kid. He probably is the best defensive player on the team last year, but never shot the ball that much. I think coach Pfalz and coach Piatt did good things with the younger players.

I wouldn't say they will be "terrible," they are returning the Indermuhle kid (#10), and the Price kid, they will boh be seniors, along with an OK Jv team from last season, I think they will be better than Frontier, just throwing that out there.

River has a good big kid returning next season and there won't be many of those in the PVC this winter. I think the league will be competitive.

Re: Pioneer Valley Offseason BUZZ
If you look back to the first page there are some of the returning and expected key players for each team listed. Smith is probably the only one at this point that you would call a top returning player but I'm sure with their coach and program some kids like Lang will step up. The league lost a lot of solid seniors last season, it will be interesting to see which kids emerge from the jv/frosh or even jr high levels to make an impact with the varsity teams this season.

Interested to see how Weichman (sp?) for Caldwell does this year. Played with/against him a couple times this summer. Kid's pretty good for his age, and has a very high motor.

Eddy is a nice player, benefited from LaGrean last season, will play a different role as the "big" man on the team this year. Jury will be out on Schwendeman, didn't impress at camp against West M either game but could step up, coach L is gonna get the most out of those guys for sure.
