HVCH ER is the worst placed called a Hospital that I ever had the misfortune to have to go to. The experience left me very mad and upset. I was involved in a car accident and was forced to go there. I waited for over three hours to be seen, and then sent home. Next day, I went to Grant and had to have an emergency surgery to repair a shattered knee cap.. When I returned home 2 days later, I received a call from them telling me that I might need to see my family Doctor for a follow up. Really? They must have the Er Doctors that can't find work any where else. And no I do not have any relatives working there.

It's funny that everyone in SEO hates their local hospital. I have friends from Marietta to Portsmouth and the story is the same: Our local hospital sucks!

I feel the problem with most ER's they employ what I call rent a Doctor! That what they do at HVCH.

Most small local hospitals can not pay the big bucks for bigtime Doctors so you get what you pay for.

Can go into holzer with a broken foot and when ya leave on your papers it will say you smoke lol. if yer a smoker yea i smoke but that did not break my darn foot
