Post by EasternDspy »

1.Tyler Kinchen QB/RB Monroe Central- Talked to him and he will be playing. He hopes to play RB.He is looking to have a big year and go to college for football. 2.Adam Rossiter TB Caldwell- Great player should have a great Sr year.3.Shane Crum Rb Shenandoah-Had 287 yards in one game last season. 4.Spencer Lang RB Fort Frye- Breakout year for a kid that finally gets to move to his natural pos. 5.Cole Hogue RB/FB Monroe Central - He is a beast who doesn't get the real credit he deserves. 6.Eli Hurst Qb Shenandoah- Kid will develop this season. 7.Caldwell QB River- He might not have the weapons around him. 8.Jordan Jeffersson Fron QB-1st Qb has lots of potential. 9.Chandler Lang Fort Frye QB- He is the defintion of leader. 10.Derek Leasure HB/WR Shen- Kid has some talent.

no way adam rossiter should be above shane crum.. crum is a 6'1 215 lb force coming at you.. he ran behind an awful line for 1000 yds and rossiter ran behind a line that topped the pvc.. and cody caldwell for river threw 6 picks in one game last yr.. if your talking for playmakers for the other team then he's your man

On another website they were describing some camp in Wheeling last weekend and of the QBs River's was one that impressed.

Most of Crums yards came in 1 game vs a horrible Belpre team..As a feature player not sharing time with Snoddgrass and passes to Morris.I like Rossier better. Also Caldwell from River will get much better.

Chandler played WR and lead FF with over 700 yards as freshman.

Both Rossiter and Crum are pretty good backs. It just depends on what you're looking for in a RB. Rossiter may not run over very many defenders, but he has the ability to get past a lot of them with his speed and agility. Crum seems to be more of a bruiser, someone who's going to lower his head and get the tough inside yards, while Rossiter is the type to break it outside and get to the edge.

While the stats may be in favor of Crum, stats are not everything. I'm not a Zeps fan, so I didn't go to to many of their games, but I know Hurst was out a good portion of the season. When your QB is out, you're going to rely heavily on your star RB. I'm sure Crum split carries with someone as well, but it seemed as though Caldwell tried to feature Snodgrass more so than Rossiter last year. Not to mention, there were games where Caldwell would throw the ball 25+ times a game, so there weren't many opportunities for him to get carries. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see either break the 1,000 yard mark this season, although I do believe it may be harder for Rossiter to do this year, what with the improved schedule and losses of key players that should put more of the defenses focus on him.

I have a hard time believing that caldwell from river will manage to have a good season with the help he has around him.. or lack there of I should say.. and you can look at giving your star running back alot of carries in two ways.. while linebackers were keying sayre, morris, and snodgrass... rossiter was left with little defensive strength when he gets the ball.. crum on the other hand had 2 or 3 linebackers keying on him every game and you should know that easterndspy considering fort frye couldnt stop him even with all your backers flowing towards his side.. oh yeah i remember him going off for like over 200 yds that game too so obviously it wasnt just against a horrible belpre team.. i recall him going for 100 yds in 3 other separate games.. yeahh he might of had 285 against belpre but that leaves 720 yds over the next 9 games... which isnt too bad without your starting quarterback to relieve him of getting the ball.. and he only averaged about 25 carries a game which is a small load compared to saying he gets the ball every play

i would say one underclassman to watch would be River RB Jordan Sapp, but the Pilots need a lot of help on the line.

lets not act like crum didn't have other pretty good players around him as well. maybe not as many as rossiter had, but they still had some good weapons to take some of the pressure off of him.

Rossiter will not make it through the season without getting hurt. He is injury prone and when the going gets tough he quits. With DeVol gone and Perkins back Lori will have free reign with the offense so expect the ball to be in the air 85% of the time or more. I would take Crum from Shenandoah any day. He is a stud. It's gonna be a long year in Caldwell.

BigReds10, i'm wondering what your connections are to Caldwell and why you have such an interest in putting them down.

I have friends who live there and there kids have told me different things that are going on and also that they will not be playing this year because of Perkins and Lori. They feel as though Coach Moore who was there the las few years I guess was the better person for the job and they said he was Coach DeVol's choice.

Moore would be the better coach?
From the kids i've talked to they would have all quit if Moore was the coach.
They all HATED him, and I haven't heard of anyone that was important in the past that quit this year. So obviously they're not a big loss.

Rumors on a message board mean nothing. I'll believe all this stuff when I see it.
