I would like to find a good travel ball team for my daughter. The organization she is with now is not doing enough to get them that scholly. I am willing to travel long distance for practices. I would not mind going to Columbus or Cincy if thats what it takes. I know MD can help me out on this one.

She has played five years of travel ball. She is sixteen years old and her goal is to play college softball. Her best position is SS but she can play just about anywhere.

Ok thats a new team . Not the Doom 96 that did well as 13u's at 14u nationals last year. I have not this new team play. Riptides have a nice 96 team. MD

Yes, the 96 team you are thinking of is John Miller's team. Riptides will be in Midland, TX in a few weeks for ASA Nationals. Will you be at the GAPSS tourney next weekend?

only if the dd decides to guest play for someone , poor stingrays , massive amount of rain to deal with this weekend. 14u age group only ones playing today, the rest is a washout.

Emily Ward from Unioto High School (freshman to be), is playing with the Ohio Classics '96. They have been playing pretty well of late, despite the loss of one of their best players to injury. Qualified for ASA/USA Nationals, 2nd in ASA states, 2nd at Fire in the Sky in extra innings in front of 2,000 plus... they have won all the minor tournaments they have played. She was a standout hitter last year with the Buckeye Elite, but as MD alluded to, SEO is not exactly a hotbed...but some very good players spread out throughout Central/SW Ohio teams.

96 classics are very very good. I've been high on both their pitchers since I saw them at Kent St in the winter of 2009 . Where do those two play their HS ball ?
