I watched them over the summer thought they had a lot of talent. Good guards and a couple big kids inside will be tough to beat. I look for them to make a tourney run.

It will probably be a close race between SW's Austin Loop and Manchester's Travis Combs for district player of the year in D4.

I think Jenson (?) Dyer could be the difference this year. He played AAU ball and if he can gain some confidence in his game, he could be a beast inside. I saw him last season and it looked to me that all he needed was some confidence and aggresiveness. With him inside the Jeeps could be hard to beat.

I look for Webster to be the top D4 team in our area. I also am hearing some good things about Southern as well.

Manchester should do well again this year as well.

I think Manchester with the 6'5 transfer along with Combs is going to be a hand full this year. My boys are at there place this year so I'll get to see them in person soon enough I guess.

Yeah, they should contend again this season. Losing a player like Blake Blevins in the post could cripple a lot of teams but I think they will be fine. Adding a decent player in the Gaffin kid like you mentioned could help to soften that blow, if only a little. 6'3" SG Travis Combs, 6' Forward Dalton West, and 5'9" PG Dylan Ricketts will probably be their three best players this season.

I would say your right but you can't teach height and Combs and the big boy should control the boards against most teams they meet . If they play with intensity on the defensive end of the floor there could be anouther nice tourney run for them this year .

I agree with you, I would throw Roseberry from Southern in the mix as well. I would say Combs will have the inside track without one of the others really have a great season.

Is this a South Webster thread?

The Jeeps should have a great year! They are well coached and will be a tough out in the tourney.

Jeeps take the SOC2 this year, I'm calling it.

Who all is on the roster this year? (for those wondering, I graduated from SW so i'm not up on things anymore)

how many dunks will Austin drop on Portsmouth before the 32 minutes is up?

Lots of talent on Waverly and Valley so Webster will have to bring their A game. And never count out the Burg. SOC2 will be interesting this season.
