Re: KVD - Toyota Tundra Angler Of The Year....again...
I can't help believe too that BASS or someone is sinking a lot of brush for these guys. KVD always seems to know where a little brush pile or a little rock pile that holds fish 1/2 mile from the bank. I knew a guy who was friends with Hank Parker years ago and this guy 'claimed' that the top bass guys were given clues all the time by BASS as it looked better to see the same guys finishing on top.
Having said that...even if that's all true, KVD is still the man. The guy is unreal. He beats my favorite, Aaron Martin, all the time lol

Great guy his dad took his own life when Keith was about 15 years old. His neighbor Dave Hogge Another avid bass fisherman took him by the horns and lead him in the direction of fishing. Keiths mom bought him a new Skeeter when he turned 18. We won a couple nightly tournys together and fished club tourns alot. I think he won around 300,000 thousand dollars last year.

Does this mean that these pros aren't even catching and weighing 5 fish per day .....with a 12 inch minimum ?? Incredible. I realize they tend to go after the larger fish but you'd think they would snag at least a few small ones along the way.OZZIEOHIO wrote:Fish Per Day (avg weighed in)

Re: KVD - Toyota Tundra Angler Of The Year....again...
Many lakes there's a 15 inch limit. I know even here in Kentucky, it's 15 on Grayson and Yatesville. Ky Lake is 15" Cave Run has a slot of 13 to 16"
Also, think, these guys only fish 8 hours..and that includes their boat driving times too. Sometimes, they might travel an hour or more each way to get to where they're going to fish. They are also fishing a lot right in the middle of the day, not evening. I'm so amazed they catch what they do.
Oh..did you see KVD on the Bassmasters last week...there were so many guys watching him fish, I don't know how he could cast without hitting one of them

I never noticed him being tattooed but he sure runs the mouth, you talking about Michael Iaconelli? The guy who got most of those guys to start that screaming and fist pumping when they catch a fish? (thankfully, some of those guys are dropping that stuff now
) If so, yeah, he's in through points. He hasn't missed a classic since 2001.

He's not the only one though. That Screaming into the fishes mouth while they pumped their fist towards the fish and then start screaming is kinda very annoying. Then again, some of them are 'stuck on cliches' If I heard KVD say one more time, 'Game on' or 'Lights out' I thought I'd puke

Nobody from Ohio on the list.....that is sad.
Plenty of good fishermen that fish big tournaments from our area, but they have so much travel involved and crappy local fishing around here to practice on, they dont stand a chance!
