The Noles are a pretty veteran team this year other than some new faces on the lines. But the skill guys are pretty much the same you saw last year. There was a frosh RB last year with the last name of Nixon that impressed me during mop up time... had nice size and speed for a freshman. I don't see how he'll get into an already crowded backfield, but he might get time at WR if he is a playmaker. MC will be looking for somebody to emerge at WR this year if Lafferre is moving to QB as mentioned on here.

Look for the Rayner brothers to make an impact in the backfield for Caldwell.

Lafferree is going to stay on the outside. Packages will be put for Lafferree at QB but for the most part it is going to be Kinchen lined up at QB. Not sure that I agree with this idea but I am not the coach. Reguardless an offense with the Kinchen brothers, Lafferree and Hogue will be exciting to watch.
Re: Pioneer Valley Conf Newcomers
I don't think Kinchen is a natural QB. His best fit at the next level is probably at LB. Lafferree reminds me of Derek London-Dierkes as an athlete. Would like to see him at QB and Kinchen at RB. But you are right, with that skill it probably doesn't matter where you put it.

2 New players for Fort Frye looked good at passing scrimmage vs Crooksville.Shawn Cuthberson a Sr WR 1st year player looked good and looked like Chan Langs number WR.Shawn needs to stay out trouble.Tyser Schilling 1st year CB/WR will probably start and has nice size.

Kale Rayner is a big boy who is very quick on his feet from his wrestling background . he will be a moving wall blocking for Rossiter , tho he will the only one blocking for him cause caldwells line is hurting from what i hear .

I thought Caldwell had 2 or 3 lineman returning? Wish I could find a program from last year.stylepoints101 wrote:Kale Rayner is a big boy who is very quick on his feet from his wrestling background . he will be a moving wall blocking for Rossiter , tho he will the only one blocking for him cause caldwells line is hurting from what i hear .

Yeah I know. My post was more in response to the statement that Caldwell's line was hurting.

Re: Pioneer Valley Conf Newcomers
i know Rayner is FB thats why he will be blocking for Rossiter. caldwell lost too much veteran talent pickenpaugh, smith and poulton are some big holes to fill . now if you move Rayner from the line that makes 4 key linemen gone .

You couldn't have watched too much Caldwell football last year stylepoints. Pickenpaugh played middle linebacker.

Caldwell's line will be just fine this year. They have Sawyer, Cubas, Schenkel, Haas, Magorien, Stoffel, Allen, Schockling, Miller, Shuster, and Cartell as linemen.

Re: Pioneer Valley Conf Newcomers
pickenpaugh didnt hardly play a down @ offensive line last year... poulton just played dirty and didnt contribute much... schenkel slid down to guard and loaded up the right side of caldwell's line w/ sawyer... left side being magorien and cubas who balance each other out... miller and haas have been sharing reps @ center
