The football position is not good right now with the way the BOE operates. All it takes is one parent complaint and the coach is gone. They are going through interviews and it's pointless because no matter who the AD, principal, and superintendent recommends, the BOE may not like the potential candidate and will have to start the process all over again.

I hate that for CG because there program has been good for so many years.

Can you name a good football position currently? I'm assuming you are referring to the board , parents , admin etc.SportFan08 wrote:The football position is not good right now with the way the BOE operates. Just within the ovc. Name a position that's had the same coach for more than 5 yrs.
? 1 or 2 I think. Peake is the only school I know maybe Ironton? Let that set in for a bit.

Personally, if I were new to the area, I would send my kids to Chesapeake. Andy Clark and Ryan Davis are class act in my opinion.

I stopped by the Administratice Offices today. As of today, there are 23 applicants. All the way from Florida and Georgia to Northern Ohio. Interested to see who the BOE chooses.

Kyle is Rick's cousin. Kyle was an assistant coach at Fairview a few years ago.

He went to Coal Grove his junior and senior years. Was the quarterback his senior year in 2009. I think he previously was on the Wayne (WV) coaching staff. Not sure where else.
