easy there dawg, I dont think this will be an easy win on either side of the ball. The last three years have been waverly winning by 1, 7 and Piketon winning by 8 so I dont see a lopsided victory for either. This should be another close game coming down to whomever makes the least mistakes.

I like Waverly in a squeeker. I think it will be a close game. Piketon loses alot of talent and Waverly is rebuilding but will be much better this year.

Sure not much chatter this year.
I still look for a big crowd. Maybe not as big as some years though.

West has scrimmaged Piketon the last 2 years and it seems Piketon is way down from last year in skill and up front. Waverly looks to be better. Games at Waverly. I'll take Waverly.

Piketon had a good test with west And was over matched , but not as bad as last year. It was a good warm up for the waverly game next week. I say it will be a fun game to watch but see Piketon coming home with the victory . Is the game still going to be at waverly? Do they have the visitors stands done?siderman wrote:West has scrimmaged Piketon the last 2 years and it seems Piketon is way down from last year in skill and up front. Waverly looks to be better. I look for waverly to come out with the fire in their eyes and get some payback for last years loss. The tigers have looked sharp in their scrimmages against ZT and circleville. I look for it to be a close game since its a rivalry, but I like waverly in this one.

CoolPiketonDude,
Waverly is making plans for the new stadium so they can to tear the bleachers down as soon as the football/soccer season is over.

just five days until waverly puts another victory in the books
Re: Week 1 Piketon @ Waverly August 26th
I just cant decide which way I will go in this one. I might just dress neutral and set in the endzone.
Re: Week 1 Piketon @ Waverly August 26th
I'm not sure Piketon was more competive than last year. West could've scored everytime they had the ball with the varsity if they wanted to. They had to average 7 yards a carry easily. Last year West knew exacty what they wanted to do offensively (T formation and pound it). This year is going to be alot more diverse and he was trying different stuff. But if you just look at the skill of piketon, they were way better last year.CoolPiketonDude wrote:Piketon had a good test with west And was over matched , but not as bad as last year. Waverly is much improved from last year. I was impressed with Trevon's arm Friday night against Circleville and he has some nice targets to throw to. The line will get some good work in this week to fine tune some things and they will be ready to go. The game is at Waverly so look for the Tigers to be pumped and ready to defend the home turf against their County rival. A new team, a new look and a new attitude - Tigers take this one 28-14.
