Newcomerstown vs Caldwell Week 1
Caldwell returns talented yet injury proned Adam Rossiter at TB.Looks like Kale Rayner will play FB.Chance Stoffel will play TE.Border and Kam Rayner will play wing.Abrams and Hesson will play Wr.Line will be Cubis,Schenkel,Sawyer.QB is a huge question mark.Jensen Croucher will get 1st shot. Not a speedy or flashy and has a weak arm.He is smart and should use that to his advantage.Buzz Leasure has more talent but not sure if Roman Lori will give him a shot.Buzz will also be the teams placekicker.

from what i hear you r just a Little off on your line-ups! Hesson, Abrams, Border, Danford wr's - Carpenter is back up qb and really pushing croucher. still a long ways to go pads havent even come on for all teams.

Re: Newcomerstown vs Caldwell Week 1
Not really sure how everyone gets that Rossiter is injury prone? Am i forgetting something or what? From what I remember, he messed up his knee late in the season, and other than that I don't remember anything that would label him "injury prone".
Anyways, as far as Newcomerstown goes, i'm not really sure what they'll be like, but I do believe they lost some of their best athletes, including their dual-threat QB.

Re: Newcomerstown vs Caldwell Week 1
In the past few football season Rossiter has Broken his collorbone, injured his knee and I think he messed up his tailbone, so I would consider him pretty injury prone. There's no way Buzz has more talent, he tends to make dumb decisions, and has a worse arm than Croucher. Carpenter will be the back-up, but he's a year away. Caldwell should be fine, unless they let pressure of past years get to them.

Did not know about the collarbone or tailbone injuries. Makes more sense then. Anybody know of any scrimmages Caldwell will be participating in?

Jensen throws a horrible ball.Carpenter can not remember the plays. The coaches won't even give Buzz a shot.Players that I have spoke to and I teach in Caldwell have told me they think Buzz would be better if he got some reps.I do think Buzz days are numberd at qb since they moved him to TE.Its a shame he deserved a shot.

So you teach at Caldwell huh? Or live in Caldwell? Or maybe coach at Caldwell? You sure know a lot about Fort Frye though and not too much about Caldwell athletics. At least the facts! Anyways who the heck is Buzz?

Can someone give me some info on Newcomerstown? Picked them up on the schedule this year but I don't know anything about them

Where are you getting your facts about Caldwell football journeyman8675309? I am a parent of a Caldwell football player and EasternDspy's facts are a lot more accurate than yours are.

Where have I stated a bunch of facts about Caldwell Football other than the 4 senior wr's and Carpenter pushing Croucher at QB. I am a huge Caldwell fan, so lighten up! I'm bustin his chops cause we all know who he is and i like him, but he doesn't teach at Caldwell.seowrestler wrote:Where are you getting your facts about Caldwell football journeyman8675309? Anyways, I think everyone is jumping to conclusions right now. Let the boys put on pads and then we will see where a lot of the boys fit in. In the end all that matters is that we support them no matter who is playing.

EasternDspy u seem to have most of ur information on caldwell from ur driving school buddies... Yes Buzz and Carpenter must have been so good last year they had to send Croucher down to play a quarter of JV like 3 times to straighten things out... Border and Danford play wing, not Kam Rayner

Re: Newcomerstown vs Caldwell Week 1
I was told this last night by a few fans.
The Trojans will or should be near or at .500 this season and are a few years away from being "GOOD" From what I was told the talent or most of it is at the lower levels leaving the varsity to struggle for a little longer.

Interested to see what kind of offense the Skins run this season. Originally I had expected a run first offense, but from what i've heard it might be more like what we saw later in the season last year, with a lot more emphasis on the passing game. They've got a few players with some good speed and agility, hope they put it to good use.

Re: Newcomerstown vs Caldwell Week 1
they need to develope a qb before they can attempt to have a passing game , they should stick with rossiter and kale rayner in the backfield as their primary offense. they have the wide outs but they need to work on croucher's arm . i seen buzz leasure play in a jv game last year and i would bet shenandoah's waterboy would have had a better idea of what was going on in that game than he did . lol
