This team will miss Connery, but as long as you have Burdette they will be very good. She is a player. Saw them play without her this summer though and it was not pretty. Hoping for great things from this team. Good Luck.

Is there anyone in their conference that can even compete with them? I heard they were loaded.

This topic is apparently about the Eastern Eagles from BEAVER, as in PIKE county.
A good conversation will never start until this gets cleared up!

What's so new? Is Coach Day returning?

don't know what you are hearing but this team lost two huge leaders in Staker and Rowe and still lost to a young Notre Dame team (who is in their conference ) that graduated no one . And ND wasn't in the top 3 in the conference last season. So I don't know about that "loaded " description , it might have applied last year but I don't think loaded is a good adjective this season. Not that they won't compete for a SOC title because the conference is .....shall we say weak. very weak. Clay will lead the way again because they have good point guard play (assuming the PG is back from a knee injury) . without good guard play you can't win the league . people just full court press you and take the ball from you. pretty simple. No, Coach Day will not be returning. The new coach is Darren King I believe.
But I don't expect too much change with the team.

As for them being "loaded", I would have to agree that is by far the wrong word. This team won't be the biggest on the inside, but I look for them to run the floor and use their speed as an advantage against most teams. I still see them in the Top 3 of the SOC, with Clay and Notre Dame this year.

I see them top 3 as well. look out for SV . coach has them working hard. but the title will go thru Rosemount.

Yes, the title will go through Rosemount. That was proved last season. Eastern would have never got the title had they not came away with a dominant victory at Clay. Whoever can beat Clay on the road, will have a good shot at winning the title.

King should be a big time improvement over Day. Look for Eastern to make a lot of noise this year.
