Jackson will host Gallia Academy in week 10.

Out most challenging game will be at Ironton in week 7.

The TD given to Jackson when the Warren player clearly made the INT, was the worst call I have ever seen! Those officials should be demoted back to pee wee games!

Lots can happen in 4 or 5 weeks but I suspect there wont be any cruising in week 10 either.

Warriorfrosh, have you seen either team play this year?

Portsmouth and Chillicothe are struggling right now, but both teams still have plenty of talent. Jackson will have to play well to beat them both.

Ironton is Ironton. Very few teams go into Tanks Memorial Stadium and come out with a win.

St. Charles is 2-3 right now, but don't let that fool you. That will be a huge test in Week 8.

Gallia Academy has one of the best defenses in SE Ohio, and they can run the football too. In a rivalry game like that, anything can happen.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope that Jackson "cruises" to a 10-0 season, but it's not likely to happen that way. We'll see how it goes, but I'll go ahead and expect a battle each of the next five weeks.

I watched the Gallia / Ironton game and I have great respect for both programs but my assessment was that both teams looked very sloppy. Again I don't bash but that's what I saw Friday night.
My assessment must not be far off because as I spoke to fans from both teams they seemed to see the same thing.

For those of you upset about the int/td catch the tie always goes to the offensive player. And do you think players don't get the ball stolen in the bottom of a pile every now and then? it's football.

People who think Jackson will roll into Ironton and get an easy win are crazy. That is by far Jackson's biggest game this season and has been the past few years. These two teams have had some great games over the past years and either team can win no matter who has more talent. Jackson has been thrashed each time they try to play in Ironton it seems like, the home team has won this series for the most part. That game is where both teams get there playoff points.

I agree tradition. This is really a rivalry game and NO ONE walks into the tank and gets an easy win. Shoot hardly ever does anyone get a win there period.

It was a sloppy game and the Field was pretty bad but both teams had to play on it and played they did.
Ironton is still trying to Gel on the lines and if they do then they can really be dangerous This Friday night will tell the tell on what Ironton can do and if they are ready to go to the playoffs or ready to stay home

There was NO tie! The shorter defender caught the ball, the taller receiver jumped over his back. There was no pile, just 2 players! The defender was sitting on his arse when the ball was taken from him! Biggest BS call ever! Would not have made a difference in the outcome of the game, but those officials aren't ready for HS games...period!!! Btw "tradition", I love your name.. Funny thing is when Warren played Jackson in my days (late 80s), Jackson was horrible!! Our JV scored on your Varsity at Jackson in '87. Yes they were that bad!!

Warrior in WV: I kinda thought as you that the jackson player had not got ahold of the ball until they were on the ground but upon reviewing the game tape both had ahold of the ball before they hit the ground therefore it has to go to the offensive player. I agree the refs are not ready for that level of play.
I also look for you guys to have a heck of a season. Good luck.

No tape needed, Warren player came down with the ball, this was very obvious to everyone but the refs. Indeed these refs should be demotated to pee-wee quickly. God forbid if this was a close game, people would be coming after them with pitch forks!! Jackson may have been horrible in the 80's but they set the bar in SE OHIO right now. I know we are frustrated with the outcome of this game, espicially considering the vast number of critical mistakes Warren made to make Jackson's job a lot easier (KO return TD, 2x fumble TD, interception TD). However, Warren has made huge, significant strides in their program in the last 3 years and even this year their is only a handful of teams in southern, Ohio that are capable of beating them. I'm happy to see the improvement and hope for continued progress.

haha...what? Are you trying to say that Jackson doesn't have tradition?

How does 564 all-time wins, 21 SEOAL championships, and 8 playoff appearances sound to you? How about a 17-7 record against your Warriors, winning 17 of the last 18, and 11 in a row?

Warren has a good team and everyone from Jackson has acknowledged that. I really don't understand what the problem is here. The call on the TD catch may or may not have been bad, but it's not really Jackson's fault. Take it up with the officials. And while you're at it, ask them about the other half dozen or so blown calls that occurred during the game that adversely affected both teams.

Eveyone beats their own drum, and yes I'll beat on mine! Bottom line is I never lost to a team from Jackson when I played(3 years)!

Well I know one thing... 3 of those 7 losses came at the hands of the Warren team I participated on!!
