Agreed, good luck to Jackson. This loss won't sting so bad if you guys make a run in the playoffs.

Ironmen do have tradition, thanks to 02 for making that obvious.
Well I never lost to Warren but that doesn't make me an All American? When is the last time Warren beat Jackson anyways? Besides even if we give you those 6 points that "lost you the game" Jackson still wins so why complain over one call? If I were you I would forget about last week and focus on the rest of the season. Warren has a decent team and could finish the season strong and I hope they do. The only point I want to make is Warren is not the powerhouse you guys are trying to say it is. The Qb has a good arm and the Wr is tall with some good hands. That makes you a solid team, but you can't win every game trying to throw to one guy. Now if this were basketball then we would be on the other end, that's just how high school sports go.
As for the Ironmen, I hope they stay focused and take it one week at a time and go undefeated! I want a home playoff game

Jackson has the potential to go undefeated this year no doubt, but they can't stumble in the second half schedule at all. In the future they need to change their OoC schedule and play some real teams. Because if they don't, they can beat up on the lowly TVC and horrible SEOAL teams all they want, but like the Coaches before the playoffs can't equal a buzzsaw and one and done. Time to quit talkin with the best field around, and start walkin with truly the best team around.

About the time you get your schedule changed to better your talent level goes down....then you get killed by the D1 monsters....what are ya going to do??
Re: Week 5: Jackson(4-0) @ Warren (3-1)
I agree that Jackson should upgrade their schedule but only to a certain extent. Logan is a perfect example of what happens when your talent level drops off and you are still playing top tier programs. I don't know the specifics of how Logan's schedule is made up but I do know that most contracts between schools are only for 1 or 2 years. Maybe they should consider backing off on the schedule a bit now that the talent has dropped.
As for Jackson, they are in somewhat of a no win situation with their schedule. Just a few years ago Waverly went unbeaten 2 years in a row I believe. Traditionally the game between JHS and Waverly is very competitive. So im not sure that dropping Waverly makes much sense at this time. The Wellston game will likely never end due to the obvious ($$$). Therefore, not playing VC is really the only change that can happen. The rest of JHS's non league schedule is fine. Ironton and St. Charles are certainly formidable opponents.

Jackson gets Athens back next year and they are back to how they should be, very solid program. I believe the Vinton County game is being dropped, which is good for both teams. Hate to see the Ironton game dropped to but adding Wheelersburg is a good pick up. It is hard to schedule long term deals with larger schools because that is a long drive so maybe that is why it's tough to get those type of teams on the schedule but I would love to see some tougher non conference games. Rumors going around that the SEOAL is losing teams and needs some additions. Would love to see Nelsonville on the schedule again too. That would be a huge game for both towns.
