I'll go with Waverly. I've watched Minford play twice (Valley, Eastern) Eastern struggled the whole game and Minford connected on a lot of shots. Eastern could have easily won that game if they're shooting was a little better. Kretzer goes off for 40 tonight.

Is the #2 kid for Minford going to play?

Was wondering the same thing Swanker Pine . That cld hurt the Falcons if he don't play he is a very good defender and has become another scoring threat for the Falcons . Well it's Gameday and we shall see if Minford is for real or if Kretzer and Waverly will dominate this game . Looking forward to this matchup and will be there to see his one tonight before heading to the Convo tomorrow for some more bball . Good luck to both teams on an injury free and hopefully instant classic ..

Waverly traveling to Minford tonight then to the convo to play a very good Warren team tomorrow afternoon. 2 wins this weekend would be HUGE but it starts tonight.

Balanced scoring for Waverly tonight. I believe they had four kids in double figures. Makes them a much more dangerous team.

Just announced that West beat Burg in OT. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Waverly came out HOT and hit 5 or 6 threes in the first qtr. before Minford ever changed their D. Waverly played a nice game with several players hitting double figures.

I am not doubting that this could be a great game. I am also not doubting that Minford could beat Waverly if they play like they did at the burg. Waverly was a completely different team through the preseason and foundation game. I am a huge fan of McBee and think he extremely changes the dynamic of this team. With that said if Waverly gets up and down and makes plays in the flow of the game instead of setting up the offense and making 6 passes before a shot i think they run away with it. A double overtime loss to Valley seems like a moral victory but that same Valley team lost to Zane Trace. Zane Trace got beat by Southeastern. Waverly beat Southeastern by 30 plus in the foundation game. I guess that doesn't mean jack in the scheme of things other than the fact that i am really not sold on Valley right now. First year coach with more athletes than basketball players. From what i have seen from valley there hasn't been a lot of discipline. They were jacking up 3's with a 2 minutes left up 9 on Ironton. I just wouldn't hang my hat on that loss as a parameter of where minford is right now.
And Wheelersburg took Waverly to the wire, and West beat Burg tonight....who has lost to Green and New Boston. Just saying...you should know better that comparing scores.

Minford concentrated on limiting Kretzer and everyone else had the best game they've had so far. Didnt hear the final totals but Kretzer still had around 16 (missed several FT's), Hart around 15, Kelly, White and Ward near 10 a piece. Hensley and Davis with some productive minutes off the bench. The Tigers missed 3 straight front end of 1 and 1's and 2 more in the double bonus in the last 1:30 or it would have been a 15-16 point margin as it was allot of the 2nd half.
Good road win for the Tigers, get some rest tonight and on to the convo tomorrow.

Waverly came out on fire and seemed to hit every shot in the first qtr. Minford battled just cldnt get a run together of there own against a red hot shooting Tiger team.. Waverly played great D all night and had 3 or 4 kids in double figures.. I think Kretzer had around 17 and McBee around 18 on the night. I still think this Minford team will only get better as the season goes on and win there share of games.. It was almost as if the roles were reversed and Minford is searching for that balance scoring that Waverly has been looking for and found tonight in a big way..

After looking at the roster again, I meant Evan Howard. He was hurt pretty bad against Eastern.
