Wonder why highschoolsports.net had it wrong ... Remind me to never use the site as a source again ... lol ... I remember reading the article of the game - not sure why I would second guess myself - contrary to I92's belief - I'm always right ...

Yes, when I was in school, we always played Eastern Pike which I think is Beaver Eastern? But, Eastern Brown is a whole different school?! I never knew that. BTW thanks Bulldog for all the work on the TVC site and is there any way to tag the Facebook pictures you post. I haven't figured that out yet.

Oh....I'm aware of each Meigs Co school....I just remember all those battles between Whiteoak and Eastern Reedsville's boys teams in the district and regional tournament...it was always Eastern Meigs.

But Eastern Reedsville it is. Good Luck

Thanks. It is after all tourney time and anything can happen! The girls have to be on the "A" game all the time.

Id have to say Burdette from Eastern is the best player in the district. Eastern and Waterford will win big and then we'll get to see yet another rematch from the two

Eastern Reedsville must be quite the small area! Has that always been the official name? Eastern Meigs makes more sense....but so does White Oak which I often argue about. I know in high school we always faced Gallipolis...now we face Gallia Academy.
Meigs County has 3 schools-- Eastern Reedsville, Racine Southern, and Meigs High School. Eastern and Southern are both in the TVC Hocking, Meigs is in TVC Ohio. Each school is within 20 minutes of the other and while Eastern and Southern are huge rivals, Meigs is also considered a rival. We at Eastern get a "little" testy being referred to as "Eastern Meigs" because of all these factors. Small area is an understatement to say the least! LOL
And some people get a little testy being referred to as Reedsville Eastern. Good luck in finding the school in Reedsville.

There is no I would make such a statement super trooper ... (a) Emily Brown and Brooke Drayer are just as good (at this stage of their careers - Jenna is so young her potential may be higher - but right now they are on the same level. IMO) ... But more importantly (b) Brown and Drayer play with an incredible intensity - with a possible Eastern/Waterford match-up looming - I would not give those two girls any more motivation than they already have ... If they see or read a statement like that - its just gonna throw fuel onto a fire that is already burning.

I think it will depend on what kind of team ND has ... Eastern has two 6-footers that start - usually a team with that kind of size keeps their bigs underneath the basket as much as possible ... But if ND has a bunch of 'sharp-shooters', you can't just sit back in a 2-3 all night.

Id say Eastern will play mostly man to man. I agree they are on the same level right now but the ceiling is way higher for Burdette
