Jackson vs Washington Court House

Post by Ironman92 »

Winner gets Chillicothe

6:15 Tuesday @ Southeastern High School

Jackson has played some tougher teams and competed well but have also lost some bad ones....including a 19 point loss to Greenfield McClain.

I'll say if Jackson plays pretty well that they will win.

The Highland County Press has all of WCH scores online. They have played against Jonathan Alder and Waverly for 15-20 point losses. Lost a close game to Unioto (which Jackson defeated at Unioto)...they played Hillsboro tight once and lost to them pretty good once....beat Greenfield both times (who gave Jackson one of their most lopsided losses)

Doesn't change my prediction....I think each team would be near each others record had they played their schedule.

Anyone list the contributors for WCH?

Washington CH is led by a couple of 6'3 Seniors, Laike Wallace and (I believe) Michael Penwell. Penwell is a very good shooter, while Wallace stays inside, but is very strong and athletic. 6'2 Junior Derek Shaw can score in bunches as well. They have a couple of good defensive guards and everyone that plays is pretty darn athletic. Obviously not great basketball players, but they can give a lot of matchup problems across the board.

Should be a good game, but Jackson seems much more consistent and I'll give them the slight edge. I'll say, Jackson wins 58-52

Jackson is more consistent?

Is Shaw a son or nephew of Jeff?

LOL yes and that says something. I watched them 3 times this year and that hit every possible cylinder of inconsistancy, it was actually really impressive.

He's gotta be some sort of relation! I think it's his son, but definitely don't quote me on that. He's very quick and athletic, has a great spin move as well.

Listened to the game on the radio. Jackson led by 11 in the 4th, but turnovers and a few missed FTs left the door open for Court House. The Blue Lions had a chance to tie on the final possession, but Luke Eisnaugle deflected a pass, Chapman picked it up, and the Ironmen were able to hold on for the win. Colt Chapman had 23 for the Ironmen, I believe.

Was tough to listen to! We were up 11 in the 4th but had 4 TO on our first 4 possessions and I think 9 in the quarter....and couldn't hit a free throw.

Way to survive!

Chapman 23 pts 11 rb

They couldn't hit a FT or get it across half court, one or the other in the 4th. But, good coaching and defensive execution with all the fouling at the end and then getting the big steal to seal the game.

Chapman was very impressive.
