Fed Hock and Southeastern square in a winner-goes-to-the-Convo showdown Friday night at 8:30 at Athens High School. The game can be heard on Power 105 with pregame coverage.

The Lancers enter the game with a 5 game winning streak, and have won 7 of their last 9 games. Southeastern managed to finish 4th in tough SVC league.

Of course there are no like opponents.

Southeastern is a solid team, led by 6'4 Sr Michael Brown(17 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 50% FG) and 6'1 Jr Nick Kellough(10.8 ppg, 30 3s) Fr PG Dylan Miles is outstanding and plays well beyond his age. 6'5 Sr Will Gullion and 6'5 So Austin Hice are both good inside presence to try and slow down FH's Saylor.

Southeastern has some bad losses on the year, but when playing well, they can compete with most teams in the SE district. I think SE gets a 54-49 victory.

I'm not familiar with Southeastern, but I do know that the Lancers are a very hot team right now. Because of the Lancers momentum that they're carrying into the tournament, I'll take FH 55-48.

Congrats to Southeastern on the hard fought win. To the Lancers: a much improved season this year with a lot of hope for the future. Good seniors returning in Parsons and Carney, and some young talent coming up with Pete Crum, and an outstanding 8th grade player. Hats off to the 5 Lancer seniors: Chris Saylor, Wes Dixon, Austin Russell, Tyler Hatfield, and Josh Coen. Good luck to Southeastern and all of our fellow TVC schools in the Convo.
