Minford should have won the first game, no doubt! They had a month of practice compared to Valley's week. Valley was playing their 4th game in 7 days, Minford opened up with Clay and then played Valley. Minford had scouted Valley, who at the time was limited offensively due to their practice time. Minford had a lead late in the 4th but they couldn't hit free throws to put the Indians away. Minford definately should have won the first game! Fast forward two months and a better prepared and in shape Valley team beat the Falcons by 16 at Minford. Valley is the better team! Minford is well coached and they have some players, but I don't think they have enough answers for the Indians. Valley wins by 10-15 points is my guess.

Best of luck to the Falcons and Coach Shoemaker, if the falcons play to their potential on both sides of the floor and Minford stays out of foul trouble, we will see a tremendous game tomorrow in Jackson.

This should turn out to be the best sectional game at Jackson this year. A week ago I would have said Valley wins easily, but with their play as of late, this game has become a coin flip for me. It's hard to believe one of these teams won't be going to Athens.

Minford has a talented squad, worthy of a top 4 seed at any other sectional. But, Valley wins again. Stranger things have certainly happened, but I personally believe Valley just has too many weapons in this one.

I wouldn't be so quick to talk about their play as of late. The Webster game was definetly not good by any means. I thought they played very well at Waverly and it took a 3 in the final seconds to beat them. The game before Waverly was at Minford and arguably their best of the year IMO. With the exception of the Webster game, I can't hardly remember a time when this group of boys haven't came out ready to play. They have always been consistent competitors. And I'm not just talking this year's basketball, I'm talking previous basketball and football seasons. Blake is always ready and competing and the rest will be right behind him.

You're right, it should be a good one. Cant wait!
