Warren Local vs New Lexington 2/25

So the Warriors survive and advance....and that is the way it felt....guess everyone's expectation would be a 25 point easy win and we would move on happy....that was everyone's expectation but New Lexington's....when we left the gym after the regular season game I asked a parent about their season and he kind of sigh'ed and said you just never know which team will show up....well New Lex came to play Saturday and their gutty performance slowed down the Warrior Nation Bus to the convo and the boys had to play ball....shooting percentage as you can see was way down and it felt like way more turnovers than 11, maybe just the timing of those but don't know....did not execute well against the zone defense and you bet Fairland will try to exploit that....Warren's defense will have to be better, the ball movement into the zone will have to be better, and the shooting overall will have to be better (that is except for Mr French!)....he bailed us out....also free throws down the stretch have to be made....Fairland will be tough but if Warren plays as they are capable they can win this game....interesting to see the match ups.....the "Convo effect" could be important as these Warren boys played there last year and already once this year against Waverly (could be advantage Warren there)....again you have to give it up for New Lex, they played a very good game, and the Warren boys should be mentally tuned in knowing a battle looms ahead.....imagine the boys will be in the gym 7 am this week getting extra shooting in.....GO BLUE!!!
