Dear Coaches:
The football coaching staff of Logan High School would like to invite you and your athletes to participate in the 2012 Logan High School Bench and Deadlift Meet. The meet will take place at Logan High School on March 3rd , 2012. All athletes will be weighed and placed into one of twelve weight classes. Awards will be given for places one thru six with a team championship awarded based on total weight lifted. Please respond to this as soon as possible so we can determine the number of awards to purchase. Included is a registration form for your athletes. Please print out forms and fill in the athletes name and school. The weight and weight class will be done the day of the meet.
Rules:
*No bench shirts, elbow wraps, knee wraps, or powder permitted
*Any pause in a lift will result in a no lift. Deadlift (no hitching or dropping the weight) Bench (no bouncing, lifting of the butt or legs from the floor)
*Each athlete will get 3 attempts at each event.
*Decisions of the judges are final.
Weight Classes:
125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 210, 225, 250, Unlimited
Entry Fee:
$5.00 per lifter

Weigh in from 8:00 am – 9:30 am
Lifting begins at 10 am with the bench press

I am 18, weighin in about 95 pounds, and my dad has a weight bench, but only has a bar that weights 45 and a 25 pound weight on one side and the same on the other, all together its 95 pounds, i cant lift all of that but i can bench just the bar and i've done 10 reps and 3 or 4 sets for a week and i have noticed the muscles getting stronger in my right arm. should i be lifting more? how many reps and sets should i be doing?
