Best 6th Man
Any good team needs an above average player ready to come in and make an impact in the game whenever they are needed. Who is the best player coming off the bench for your team?

For Valley, the top two subs Hayden Dunn (6'3" Soph. F/C) and Will Howard (6'2" Jr. G), have been tremendous! They both play roughly the same minutes as the starters. Dunn has put up similar numbers this year to a lot of teams first option in the post. While Howard's numbers aren't as significant, his defense and understanding of his role to the team have been remarkable.

Ironton's Trevor White. I have never seen a player from the bench make such an immediate impact upon entering the game. Saw this happen more than once this season.
With the injury to Dion Brown, White may start now in the tourney though.

South Webster has 2 guys who come off the bench for about the same amount of time, Jensen Dyer and Andrew Salisbury. Jensen makes a big impact at 6'6". Lots of rebounds for him. Needs a little work on offense to become a great player. He will be the main man in the post next season. Andrew doesn't do much. Rarely puts up points and doesn't handle the ball much. More of a relief player for the guards to get a quick rest.

Peebles has two of the better bench players in the SHL in Mason Johnson(6'2" Jr. SF) and Tyler Porter(6'3" Jr. SG). Both are averaging about 5ppg.

I'm not sure that you are aware of the Trevor White drama from last year, but he wasn't a starter at the beginning of the year due to the fact that Coach Lafon made him earn his way back into his starting position. Trevor actually started out the year by playing JV games. With that said, kudos to Trevor by being a man about the situation and earning his position back, and also kudos to Coach Lafon for making him earn his position back.

I agree, he makes an immediate impact when he enters the game. With Dion Brown out now he has become a starter.sprinter14 wrote:Ironton's Trevor White. I have never seen a player from the bench make such an immediate impact upon entering the game. Saw this happen more than once this season.

Lock down defender, not afraid to go into the teeth of the offense alone...Swanker Pine wrote:Leeroy has been playing very methodically lately

He gets him and his team into some trouble sometimes. He's known to make bad plays without thinking first.chicken_coop wrote:Lock down defender, not afraid to go into the teeth of the offense alone...Swanker Pine wrote:Leeroy has been playing very methodically lately
