In the Dist. final WH beat a very good Tri Valley 64-35. Tri Valley record 19-5
West Holmes had four girls in double figures, and another with 9.
Laine Snyder led the way with 18 points and ten rebounds.
W.Holmes led rebounding 29-14.

Looks like a tall order for the Lady Warriors.

Warren lost 60 - 47. West Holmes was a very physical team. Held Warren to 47 points and only Rauch in double digits with 15. Great season. NOBODY expected SEOAL, Sectional and District titles. From 11 - 11 last year to 18 - 6.

Would have loved to have seen this game continue to unfold if Emma Ryan didn't pick up her first foul in the first quarter on the offensive end. Up until then she was doing great with 3 tough FGs made in the first, but even better than that was her defense on Snyder. She needed to be able to use all her fouls defending Snyder. Early in the 2nd she made a defensive mistake leaving her feet on a fake by Snyder that resulted in her 2nd foul, but only the first defending. She went out and W. Holmes started to roll. Then in the 3rd Warren cut it down to 27-22, and about that time Ryan got her 3rd foul on a defensive close call and went out again, and before long it was a 44-23 game.

Seriously think Ms. Referee called Ryan's first foul on the wrong person, or at least thinking she was the defender which does impact the call... because @ no point did she point the other direction as typical w/a foul on an offensive player, thus the initial confusion on whose ball it was... not sure referees realize the impact when they blow - or don't blow - the whistle-totally changed the flow of the game... not necessarily the outcome, but who knows if confidence continues to build @ that point in the ball game.?.
