Well we got our first one with the resignation at Meigs. I would apply but I'm still holding out for a management position.

This would be a great job for a coach that was ready to retire but just couldn't make himself step away from the game, because after a year of this he would definitely be ready to step down.

They shared it I believe, and that team still underperformed.

Actually, I think Green or Symmes Valley did? But, I know for sure that Clay didn't win it.

Monroe Central HS job opened with the recent resignation of Greg Taylor. Be a great job for someone to apply for with the new school building opening up next school year. This is the ol' Skyvue/Woodsfield consolidation. Have played their games in Skyvue's old gym since consolidation in '93 (i think) and football games in Woodsfield.

my mail carrier friend from the pomeroy area said that meigs will hire yates from vc. i guess he coached football years back and looking to get back into coaching. if so, that is a big loss for vc, i guess yates has 2 sons who can play.

Where is he currently coaching at? Name sounds familiar.

Heard Lou Tolzda from Beallsville got the job. Any truth to that?

The only upper class group that won at Clay for the last four years was not a committed group. Some of the boys wanted it, but not all were willing to work for it. This years team was in most contests they played, but couldn't finish. I think with a hungry young group coming up, and it sounds like the return of a recharged player who sat out last year, Clay will be very competitive for a few years.
