Gamepoint and ClawistheLaw, there is no need to debate basketball with this person. Anyone who knows anything about the team last season can figure out the issue here. A true Eagle fan would not be talking "Waverly" at the Holiday Classic, running down several of Eastern's guards, trashing a coach that just helped the Eagles to the Elite 8, and being in favor of someone for going to Minford?

This thread has gotten a little rediculous

I know the kid personally. Leave it alone, it's over with. Him and his family made the decision. He might regret it, he might not. All I know is the kid is happy now and I am happy for him. Enough said.

I agree SOCFAN. The only thing that could make the thread more rediculous is to have Kram (avid Redstreak and maybe Redstreak coach?) making recommendations to the EAgle fan base. WOW!

Can we get back on topic. Has anyone seen the eagles in summer ball and who has been playing well? Also, I heard that Lands has been sitting out. Is he ok?

I haven't heard much on how summer ball is going, they were having huge open gym numbers a few weeks ago. Chad played hurt a good bit last year so hopefully he's just sitting out to fully recover from that injury and it's nothing new to deal with. Either way he's a tough kid and he will be fine. I would say that him sitting out would be a good thing, throw some of our young guards in there and let them get experience now

The last three weeks they went 7-2 lost to Vinton county. But over all they were 9-2 they left early the first week and missed a game . Lost to Nelsonville York and Vinton County. They did ok considering Lands was out with an injury but he will be back before the season. If the "d" improves they should be competative this year.

I have no fight in this, but I think you all need to let it go about the Rowe boy!!! No way can you compare Rowe and Lands as freshman, for as I recall the Lands boy set the bench most of his freshman year on varsity and did not get much playing experience at all that year!! They are two completely different players and both bring attributes to the team they are playing for. I wish both of the boys the best on the upcoming season and in their futures. Whether they are teammates or now foes each will only make the other better at thier game when they practice, play together or face one another as foes. I have much resoect for both young men!!!!!!

Back to the topic, the boys have got alot out of the summer I think with being put in spots normally Lands would carry them threw and this summer with Lands not able to play much the younger kids had to learn to handle that pressure. This can only make them and the rest of the EAGLES that much better when Chad "BAD" Lands hits the floor again. The other boys can help support him in there mission to repeat last seasons succses !

Well almost time Lands is ahead of schedual in his surgery recovery. Pickett,Lightle,Fultz,Murphy,Thacker, and all the boys are ready to get started. A tuff schedual to say the least to start the year as they open with Welston,IrontonSt.Joe,Oak Hill, and Notre Dame . The Eagles have there work cut out for them and coach Fitch. Good luck boys.

It's true he's about 6'0 to 6'1 he is a very good all around player. TO be honest he is in my oppinion the most compleat player on the team. He is a very young sophmore watch for big things from him in the next 3 years at Eastern.

Here's the schedual .
Wellston
@Ironton St.Joe
Oak Hill
Notre Dame
@New Boston
Clay
Waverly tourney vs Waverly
Waverly tourney
@ Symmes Valley
East
Green
@ Western
@Notre Dame
New Boston
@Clay
Symmes Valley
@East
@Zane Trace
Northwest
@Green
Portsmouth West
Western ( senior night )

Tuff out of conference schedual for the Eagles to go along with a conference that returns 4 sectional title teams that are pretty much all intact with the same players from last season.
