I made the long drive up to Berne Union last night to watch the Eagles. I must say they struggled against Berne's man pressure. I think the varsity lost 5 out of 6 and reserves didn't win one.

Lightle, who played well for the Eagles? What type of defense are they running?
Is Lands healthy now?

Telly they all played pretty well scoreing was pretty balanced. And on deffense our guards really worked .

The Eagles open up November 30 welcoming Wellston to the " NEST " . I think Eastern has a good shot in this one with Lands,Pickett and company looking to get off to a good start.

I believe the Eagles will be ok against Wellston. I look for the Eagles to get away with a relatively easy W in that one.

Boys are playing Vinton county and Westfall this morning. Preview tonight .

The boy looked good today going 7-1 against Westfall and Vinton County only quarter they lost was the first one they played 12-8 to Vinton . Hopefully they build some momentum off of today heading into the season.

Eagles played ok tonight against the Burg at previews. Coach got to mix and match lineups and get everyone some floor time. Well boy the 30th is right around the corner so keep working hard and listoning to coach Fitch play the games one at a time never looking past any opponent. And maybe you can have anouther good year. At previews we looked more like a team then we have in any scrimmage i understand that burg didn't show a whole lot buthat was the best I had seen us we are gonna be tough to guard inside and out especially if Lands and Lightle got hot from outside from what I have seen from Lightle is when hes hot he has parking lot range and Lands isn't the shooter Lightle is but he is very aggressive going to he bucket Pickett and Murphy can control the the inside Fultz is another shooter and Thacker is all aroud just needs more muscle Creech coming off bench is probably the best defender on team and no one in the area can match his speed he can also jump out of gym

Not to bust any bubbles but Lands is what makes this team go. I saw that first hand last year in the tournaments.

Grinder no bubble busting needed Lands is a beast he takes them from a above average team to a very good team. And befor he hurt his shoulder this summer with out question he was hands down the best shooter on the team. He is just regaining his form once he is shooting like he was pre injury there going to be sick good. Wish you guys would have seen them in the morning aginst Vinton County. Vinton is right now better than Burg by about 10 pts I would guess but we took 3 of 4 quarters only looseing the first quarter by 4 . But it was a scrimage but the boys deffense was awsome.

Im not saying lands wasnt best player because all around he is he make everyone around him better but last year when lands wasnt on the team wasnt as good this years team is smaller but you have more places to turn when he has an off nite they are faster and more athletic then last years team and no im not taking nothing from that team because they were good but I think this team is better

I hope they keep progressing Friday and Saturday there post players will be tested by Welston and Saint Joe's bigs hopefully our guards can help out on the boards.
