From what I'v heard Coach Crabtree will have this waverly team the strongest its been in years. Several o-linemen will have a 300 bench by the season. Including Tyler Kirby,Koty Anderson, Otto Jarvis, John Caid. Even though the tigers are losing jake Knight they will have a stronger overall o-line than last year. The tigers might not be that easy victory some teams think they will be. The backs are looking bigger faster and stronger than last year. The season cant come fast enough for the tigers there gonna collect those wins.

from what I hear, alot of Alexander skill kids are benching well over 300, along with the line! They are going to be a pretty tough team to handle this year! Be ready!! This is what most kids on other teams are going to look like after the games! :aaaaa27

West has 4 linemen benching over 330 and 2 backs benching over 315... Waverly still seems weak compared to themHomeTownHero_13 wrote:From what I'v heard Coach Crabtree will have this waverly team the strongest its been in years. Athletes are made from below the nips to the knees. Bench press is great, but I'd rather have a kid who can squat the house.

"You can bench 300 pounds? I can kick your butt!"
Thats just how I feel about this subject. Don't really give a crap how much someone benches. To an extent I could care less about any lift but especially bench. There is a little thing called functional strength and it has nothing to do with bench and everything to do with winning football games. Show me a team of powerlifters who bench 300 pounds and I'll show you a team that is just as likely to lose 10 games as win 10 games.

Along with weight training teams sould be running and swiminig. 3- 4 tmes per week.
Re: Weight Rooms 2012
What I have seen West does have kids benching well but they have focused more on their entire body since Coach T arrival. He lives in the weight room with his kids and preaches hard work daily.

Theres no bench press on the 50yrd line boys. Games are gonna be won from now until august... I find it very hard to believe that any team in southern ohio is out working the Waverly tigers. The things Coach Crabtree has those boys doing should be done by college football players, its very impressive. They are truly gonna shock the world this year!!

Wellston has worked hard this offseason. The Rockets have some strong kids especially up front ! Skill has done well too!
Re: Weight Rooms 2012
Very cool to see the Tigers pushing sleds in the parking lot. The times I've seen them they are working very hard. I'm looking forward to seeing what Waverly puts on the field this year. Schedule will be tough again but the Tigers should be much improved from last year.

Along with the strength of the o-line several of the backs are over 200+ lbs and are fast, bolin-hitchens, dray, murray. Welch , and gilbert. They are pushing themselves daily to become a better team.
