Still bragging about that scrimmage? WOW. No wonder you guys can't win a playoff game.... How big was that scrimmage trophy by the way?Orange and Brown wrote:whats wrong with having a job that pays the bills?Titletown TVC wrote:You dont need me to make you look stupid. Manager at Wendys? At least he works for a living, which I am starting to doubt you do.
You are just mad cause you guys got hammered in a scrimmage against NY! Heck your coach left the starters in the entire Scrimmage just so you guys could score against the Freshman.
All the Wahama players were all fired up talking crap on the sideline even the coaches were acting like they were gonna show NY how a real winner plays, Then the game started and they were all quickly brought back to reality.
I bet you don't like here all that do you?
If you wanna talk trash about other schools then be ready to get dumped on by the rest of the TVC!!

Re: meigs baord hires coaches in secret
i have NOTHING riding on this debate, nor would i want to have. however, i know both coach chauncey and coach bartram. both are great guys and are great for kids. coach bartram had a great run in the nfl and he deserves every accolade he gets. he will bring excitement to the program and peaked interest from the community. it will be like it is everywhere now a days and no different. all it will take is for him to upset the wrong parent(s) and he will be in the history books also. i hope he succeeds and takes the meigs program to a consistent playoff level. the one thing that posters on here should realize is that player experience only goes so far. many ex nfl players have never succeeded coaching at the hs level, and there are many great coaches who never smelled the nfl and many who didn't even play college ball. i coach with a guy that was a qb at a division one college several years ago. he knows what he knows. he tries to coach the high school game exactly like the college game even though there are many differences. the #1 difference i see is that you don't have the same amount of time to teach hs players as in college. players play both sides of the ball which now cuts teaching time in more than half. he also will diagnose hs defenses like they were being played at the college level. he hasn't learned to simplify yet. it is frustrating and hurts our program. for meigs sake i hope coach bartram hires several good asst coaches that have lots of hs experience to assist in game and practice items. i feel like i do know a little about the hs game. i've coached 31 years with 4 years at the college level. there are differences at these levels and you better figure them out before th BOE does. good luck coach!

Sorry. Just sounded like complaints I had heard before from people at RV.
