Our prayers are with the Ebert family at this time. What a wonderful man. I'm glad I got the pleasure to meet him. Also glad to know he has roots here in Ross County. He shared many a story about his time up here.

I would like to add a few remarks about a man I met through a website. Steve Ebert and the gang of OBDTF's have spent many hours together and Steve, even though he was Blue through and though, he was our adopted Tiger friend. I know the folks at Gallia Academy will miss this man as will we all. To Steve's family I would like to pass along my deepest sympathys. Steve will always have a place in the hearts of all true sports fans, everywhere in this part of the State. Goodbye Steve, if only for a little while. RIP

As much as Steve was blue and white for GAHS sports,he was a bigger man of God. RIP Steve.

Steve will be missed by many. I set up many baseball card shows with him throughout my life. He was a good man and one of my brother's best friends. I know three things he talked about often.....Big Blue, the Browns, and most of all the GOOD LORD. We love ya Steve.......Prayers for his family.

Always enjoyed exchanging some thoughts, especially on softball with gahs4ever, mostly when Gallipolis battled Logan Elm and Circleville in the tournament. Prayers, indeed.

Really going to miss Steve, he was one of the biggest reasons for the success of this site. Great guy to talk to and hang out with. Going to miss him.

Re: Sad news. GAHS 4-Ever passed away this evening.
I always looked forward to chatting with Steve, and I always enjoyed my conversations with him at Gallia Academy at Jackson events. Always had best interest of kids at heart.
He was also a BIG supporter of what we do in the media...myself, bdubya, Late 70s Logan Grad and others. We considered him an honorary member of our media fraternity. Gallia Academy I know is greatful for him.
It will be really strange not seeing him on Wednesday, when the Blue Angels play at Jackson in a HUGE SEOAL softball game.
However, he will — no doubt — have the best seat in the house to watch his beloved Blue Angels and Blue Devils 4-Ever.
RIP Steve
See you on the other side some day

Very sad to hear this news........I met Steve through SEOPS, and he was always cheerful and friendly toward me........missed seeing him this past year. Gallia Academy High School lost one of its most loyal fans.
